Good morning my Lovelies,
Such a beautiful Sunday morning it is! The sun has got his hat on lol! Just thought I'd do an early post for you today. A card which I made for Imagination Craft's Weekender programme on Create and Craft this weekend. I have used their fabulous large butterfly stencil 'Butterfly with love.' This looks absolutely stunning in 'real life' so to speak, when done with sparkle medium on card or on acetate. OK let's make a start shall we?
Make a base card from blue card and matt a piece of gold mirri card onto the blue, leaving a narrow border of the blue showing.
Take a piece of white card, cut slightly smaller than the gold. Take the butterfly stencil and dab the Silkie's colours onto the stencil, spray with a little water, then lay your piece of white card on top of the stencil. Brayer over the back of the card, then remove from the stencil and leave it to dry.
Wash and dry the stencil, then lay it back on top of the now coloured card, (you will be able to see the negative shape of the butterfly on your card). Secure it to your working surface with stencil tape and spread the three colours of sparkle medium over the butterfly design using a metal spatula. Remove stencil and leave the image to dry.
Once the image is dry, fix this onto the gold mirri card with double sided tape. Glue the gemstones just above the butterfly and glue a blue bow to the body of the butterfly.
Well that's it folks, hope you like it. Have a fabulous week and I hope the sun shines on you all. See you all in a couple of days. Please don't forget to tune in to Create and Craft today at 11am 2pm and 7pm when Sue will be showing us some fab techniques and products etc., See you all soon.
Love and rainbows,
Hugs Jennifer xx
