Cherish Forever.

Hi there Peeps,

As it is getting near the time we all celebrate Valentine's Day, I thought my card for tonight would be  a Valentine's card.   There is still time to make your loved one a special handmade card.   We still have a lot of lying snow here in the hills, but it is very slowly melting thank goodness, I think it has out stayed its welcome lol!   Roll on the Spring!   We have had some sunshine during the past two days and the most beautiful sunsets.

Tonight's card was made for Sue and Harvey of Imagination Crafts  in January 2009 and uses their really beautiful flourish stamp, which may not be available now, but you could use a similar flourish stamp to make this card.   Below is the card we will be making.   Hope you like it.

Fold a piece of A4 cream card in half, landscape style.   Using the flourish stamp and the Versamark pad, stamp the image down each side of the base card, approximately 1" in from the outer edges, and heat emboss with  gold embossing powder, using a heat gun.   Reverse the stamp for the second side.

Using  a Cricut machine and the 'George and Basic Shapes' cartridge, cut out 2 x 1" hearts and 1 x 2" heart from red  pearlesent card, or you could use a heart die.      Stamp the flourish stamp onto the hearts using the Versamark pad and heat emboss with gold embossing powder.

Fix a piece of the cream ribbon with the word 'love' on it and fix it across the 2" heart.   Fix this to the base card using sticky foam pads.

Stamp the small cork key with the Versamark pad and heat emboss with gold embossing powder.   Tie a piece of narrow red ribbon through the hole in the top of the key and tie in a bow.   Glue the key to the base card, just below the 2" heart.

Fix the half inch red satin  ribbon across the bottom of the card,  approximately half an inch up from the bottom of the card.   Next fix the cream ribbon with the words 'cherish'  ' togetherness'  and   'forever' on top of the red satin ribbon, with the words evenly spread.

Fix the 2 smaller hearts in between the words, using sticky foam pads.

Punch out 13 small circles and 7 tiny circles from the red pearlescent card and glue to the front of the card.   Last of all, glue the red heart gemstone to the 2" heart.

Well that is that my friends, the card is now finished.   I do hope you like it.   Thank you so much for stopping by my blog, hope you have enjoyed your visit and I would like to think that my card may have inspired you to get out those crafting goodies and make your loved one, a special Valentine's card.

Until my next blog, take care of yourselves.

                                                                 Love and rainbows,

                                                                   Hugs   Jennifer xx.
