Exquisite Echinacea.

Good evening Followers, Friends and Visitors,

Hope you've all had a good weekend and are ready for the beginning of a new week.   Here we are in February already, the days and weeks sure are flying by,  before we know it, it will be March lol!     Tonight I have a card to share with you which I made in August 2010 for Sue and Harvey of Imagination Crafts.   The echinacea stamp I have used, was at the time my all time  favourite stamp.   This stamp is still available on the Imagination Craft's website  and to make it more enticing, it is in their sale, reduced from £5.99 to £3.00  !!!!   well worth £3.00.   It is from their beautiful botanical stamp collection and is a positive/negative stamp.   The Crafter's Workshop stencil I used for the background is also in their sale  reduced from £4.00 to an amazing £2.00 !!!   The name of the stencil is Bliss.

Below is the finished card,  I do hope you like it.

Take a piece of white card and paint with the Indian Spice Set of Silkies, whilst this is still wet, lay some cling film over it and scrunch it up a little to create some texture, then leave it to dry for a short while, then remove the cling film.    When this is completely dry, lay the Bliss stencil on it and using a stencil brush, dab some black ink through the design on the stencil.

Fix this panel onto a piece of white card approximately seven and a quarter inches x five and three quarter inches.   Punch out three hearts down the left-hand side of the white card.   Fix some black ribbon down the join between the white and coloured card.   Trim the left edge of the white card using a trimmer and the victorian blade.

Matt this whole panel onto some black card, leaving a wider border of black down the left-hand edge.   Use the negatives of the punched out hearts and glue them down the left-hand edge of the black card.

Glue some red gemstones to the flourishes on the background and a small red heart gemstone in the centre of each punched out heart.

Using white card and a black ink pad, stamp the echinacea onto the card.   Cut around the edge of the  image.   Next, using a trimmer, trim around a piece of white card slightly bigger than the image and fix the image of the echinacea onto it..   Next matt this onto a square of black card and fix to the card front.

Well, that's all there is to it lol!    Thank you for visiting my blog, have a great week and look after yourselves.   I'll be back soon with another card.

                                                                  Love and rainbows,

                                                               Crafty Hugs   Jennifer xx.
