Hi there Followers, Friends and Visitors, I'm back with another Sneaky Peek at a card I have made for Imagination Craft's T.V. show this Saturday on Hochanda.
How has the weather been where you are? hope you are all safe and dry after all this rain ! We had some very heavy showers today, plus it has been extremely windy again. The stream has been thundering passed our house, we could hear the rocks and stones tumbling down the stream. No flooding problems I'm pleased to say, as Hubby made some flood defences many years ago and they are in position.
I decided to show you this card tonight, as it is quite a cheery card I think. The stencils I used were Imagination's 'Love birds' and 'Tumble Leaf,' the leaf stencil looks really pretty when coloured. If you look closely there are some hearts hidden in the design, which I think really adds to the design.
Fold the ready creased white scalloped white card in half down the crease line, making an 8"x8" base card. Matt a smaller piece of red card onto the white card, leaving a half inch border of the white showing. Take a smaller piece of white card and lay the 'Tumble Leaf, stencil onto it. Using the distress inks and a piece of cut n' dry foam, colour through the stencil design.
Next using a piece of cut n' dry foam, dab some Versamark through the hearts only, then heat emboss with clear embossing powder, this gives a glossy look to the hearts which stand out against the matt colours of the distress inks.
Remove the stencil. When dry, lay the 'Love birds' stencil onto it and using the metal spatula, spread the Bright Red Sparkle Medium over it. Remove the stencil and leave the image to dry.
When dry cut out the birdcage, leaving a tiny white border around it. Fix this to the centre of the base card, using sticky foam pads.
Lastly, glue a satin ribbon bow to the top of the bird cage. Well, that's it for tonight, hope you like it. I'll be back again soon with another card. Have a good Thursday, stay safe, warm and dry.
Love and rainbows,
Big Hugs to you all, Jennifer xx.
