Carnation Fairy.

Good evening Peeps,

Apologies for my late post but I've had a busy day.    Amongst other things I   had an appointment at the dentist for a check up and I am pleased to say,   I had nothing to do  yeah !!!      No snow yet as forecast  said but snow forecast again tonight!!     we will see in the morning.   Tonight I have a card for you which I made fore Sue and Harvey of Imagination Crafts in October 2015.   For this I have used their very pretty carnation fairy  and their summer breeze stencils  and of course, the fabulous Starlight paints.   Apologies in advance for the shadows and the paleness of the card but the natural light was not good.

Begin by using an 8"x8" white scalloped card.   Cut a piece of sage green card approx. six and a half inches square.   Using the EK Success corner punch,  punch all four corners and put aside for the moment.

Using the Creative Expressions corner die, die-cut four corners and paint with a mixture of all three Starlight paints, the gold, pink and green.   When dry, glue one in each corner of the base card.

Take a piece of white card, a quarter of an inch smaller than the green card and colour with the dried rose Starlight paint.   When this is dry, put through an embossing machine along with the summer breeze stencil and emboss.   When dry, rub gently over the embossed pattern using a sanding block, this will remove a little of the paint, leaving a slightly distressed look.   Fix this inside the punched corners of the green card, then glue this to the base card.

Die-cut a large scalloped oval using the Spellbinder's die, from  sage green card  and a smaller one from white card.   Glue the green oval to the base card.   Leaving the smaller white oval die in position,  lightly blend some Victorian velvet distress ink around the inside of the oval, leaving the centre white.

Lay the fairy stencil onto the small oval and dab the  Starlight paints through the design, using a piece of cut ' n dry foam.

Stamp the 'Just For You' to the right of the fairy using a black ink pad.   Die-cut the butterfly and paint with the gold and pink Starlight paints.

Glue this to the card using silicone glue to lift the wings slightly.

Glue an oval pearl to the butterfly's body and a round pearl to the head.   Glue a ribbon bow to the top left of the fairy.

Have a good Friday everyone and I'll be back again in a day or so, hope you will be too!   Thanks for taking the time to stop by my blog, I do like to think I may be inspiring just one  person, to take up this great hobby.   See you soon.

                                                                 Love and rainbows,

                                                     Happy crafting,   Hugs   Jennifer xx.
