A Day by the Sea.

Hello there everyone,

Hope you have all enjoyed your Bank Holiday weekend and the weather has been kind to you.   Did you
remember to tune in to the Hochanda T.V. Channel today, or maybe you recorded Imagination Craft's shows!   Such lush new Starlight paint colours!  love em lol!!   fab demos too from Sue, Lisa and the newest member to join the team, Gwen.

My card tonight was made for the Hochanda shows and was displayed behind the presenter, just caught a glimpse or two.

      
Working on a 7"x7" white card, matt a smaller square of lavender paper onto it.   Next, matt a smaller piece of light blue card and then another smaller piece of lavender paper.

Take a piece of white card and colour it with the Mixed Media Inks Light blue and Fuchsia.   When dry, stamp the deckchairs image onto it, using a Versmark pad and heat emboss with white embossing powder.   Trim this down and matt onto the top half of the lavender square.

   
Cut a piece of blue card, approximately one inch by five inches and matt onto the base card, underneath the deckchairs.

    
Stamp 'Live, Love, Laugh' onto a piece of lavender paper, using the Versmark pad and heat emboss with white embossing powder.   Fix this centrally  to the blue one inch by five inch strip.

Glue a blue ribbon bow to the top left of the card.

'Oh I Do Like to be Beside the Sea' Canvas. A sneaky Peek.

Hello there Followers, Friends and Visitors,

Tonight, as promised here is another 'sneaky peek' at one of my canvases, which I have made for Imagination Craft's shows on the Hochanda T.V. Channel this weekend    Having only made two canvases in total, I am now completely  addicted to decorating them, they are such fun to do.   I do hope you like this one.   There are quite a number of photographs, so bear with me lol!

The weather  has been really quite warm and sunny here today, which brings me to the subject of my canvas, 'by the sea,'  which makes one think of  sun sea and  Summer holidays !   ah! bliss lol!

(1)   Canvas painted with white Gesso, not actually necessary but I do like to give is a base coat.
(2)    Sprayed with yellow Mixed Media Ink.
(3)    Broken circles stencil laid on top right and bottom left and white Stencil Medium, mixed with
         a little Agean Starlight paint and spread through the design on the stencil, using a metal spatula.

     
(4)   When dry, lay the small yacht from the 'Beach Huts' stencil in the centre of each broken circle and 
        colour through the design with a blue ink ad and a piece of cut n ' dry foam.

(5)   Glue the deckchairs and lighthouse from the rice paper to the top left and bottom right of the canvas, us
        using the Magi-bond Decoupage glue.

   
(6)  Paint two pieces of driftwood with the Topaz Starlight paint and glue one to the top right and the
       other to the bottom left.

    
(7)  Stamp, colour and cut out an ice cream cone and glue to the piece of wood on the top right.

(8)  Stamp, colour and cut out a ship's wheel and glue to the wood at the bottom left.
(9)  Stamp a small seahorse and colour with the cobalt Alchemy wax, cut out and glue to the bottom right.

    
(10) Stamp the 'Beach Huts' stamp onto some white card using the Icicle pigment pad and heat emboss with
        satin pearl embossing powder   Tear the 'By The Sea' text from the rice paper and glue to the top of the
        beach hut image, using the decoupage glue.

    
(11) Stamp a seagull with black ink onto white card, cut out and glue to the image.   Matt the beach huts
        image onto a piece of jade card and glue at an angle to the canvas.

(12) Colour some pieces of card with the cobal, jade French lavender and Inca gold Alchemy Waxes,
        then stamp the shell onto them.   Cut out and glue to the bottom left of the image, using silicone
        glue, to add some dimension to your canvas.

   
(13) Rub some Jade and Cobalt blue waxes around the edges of the canvas and your canvas is
        finished.     See you all again very soon.   Please don't forget to tune into Hochanda T.V.

Wish You Were Here, 'sneaky peek' at a card made for the Hochanda T.V. show this weekend.

Good evening All,

Hope you are all looking forward to the Bank Holiday weekend and that you  have something nice planned.   Hopefully the weather will be kind to us all.   Tonight I have another 'sneaky peek' for you.   A card I have made for Imagination Craft's shows on the Hochanda T.V. Channel on Sunday 29th. and Monday 30th. May 2016.

   
Cut a piece of green paper slightly smaller than the 7"x7" white base card and lay the shell stencil on top.   Dab some Versamark through the design, using a piece of cut n' dry foam.   Remove the stencil and heat emboss using the clear embossing powder.   This has the effect of making the paper on which you dabbed the Versamark, much darker, which makes the design stand out more.

    
Colour around the edges of the green paper with the Inca gold Alchemy wax.   Matt this onto the white base card.   Colour a piece of white card with the spray inks, then stamp the beach huts onto your now coloured card, using the Versamark pad and heat emboss with white embossing powder.

   
Colour the edges of the beach huts image with the Inca gold Alchemy Wax and matt this onto some green paper, leaving a small border of the green showing.   Next matt this onto a piece of maroon coloured card, slightly larger than the green.

  
Fix this to the centre of the base card, on an angle.   Make a double bow using some maroon ribbon and some gingham ribbon, and glue to the top of the beach huts image.

Summer Love. 'Sneaky Peek' of a card for Imagination's T.V. Shows on Hochanda.

Goodness me, it is Friday tomorrow! these weeks are flying by at an amazing rate of knots  Hope you all have something nice  planned for the Bank Holiday weekend, or maybe you plan to stay home and relax in the garden lol !   let's hope we have some decent weather.

Yesterday I posted my samples to Sue & Harvey at Imagination Crafts ready for their T.V. shows on the Hochanda channel this weekend  and just as I was leaving to go to the post office, a carrier arrived with more 'happy post' for me from Imagination Crafts,  yah !!!   some fabulous new products to play with.   More samples to be made for their next shows in June.

Well, I think I have chatted enough, time to get down to the business of card making lol!!   I gave a 'sneaky Peek' on my FB page of a card I have made for Imagination's shows on the Hochanda T.V. Channel on Sunday 29th. May 2016 at 8pm.   then again on Monday 30th. May 2016 at   9am.  12 noon.  4pm. and 7pm.   I do hope you will have the time to tune in.     Here is the full card.

My card tonight is quite a quick card to make.   Glue some rice paper to a square of white card, just a little smaller than the 7"x7" white base card, using the Magi-bond decoupage glue.

      
When dry, lay the dolphin stencil onto it and spread the Old Rose Sparkle Medium over the dolphin, using the metal spatula.   Spread the Lapis Blue Sparkle Medium over the sea. 

   
Remove the stencil and leave the image to dry.   Next, stamp the  'Summer Love' with Stazon Azure ink pad, between the two dolphins.   Glue this to the centre of the base card.

  
Tie a blue satin cord bow to the top right, leaving one piece of the cord longer than the other down the outside edge of the card, then glue in position.

   
Take some kraft card and lay the shell stencil onto it and using a piece of cut n ' dry foam, dab the Starlight paints through the design.   When dry, which does not take more than a minute or two, cut out each shell and glue along the bottom of the base card, using silicone glue, to give some dimension to your card.

Good evening All,

It is time for me to share another creation with you which I made for Sue  & Harvey of Imagination Crafts in March this year for the Hochanda T.V. shows in April.

Colour a piece of white card, using all the Mixed Media inks, Fuchsia, light blue, Yellow, Green and White and when dry, lay the bubbles background stencil onto the coloured card.   Dab some Versamark through the design using a piece of cut n' dry foam and heat emboss with clear embossing powder.

      
Cut this card down to approximately 6"x6" and matt onto a piece of white card, leaving a small border of white showing.   Matt this onto a slightly larger piece of cerise card, then matt onto the white base card.

 Make a  panel  from dark green card and colour with the inks and when dry, rub some Inca gold Alchemy Wax through the smaller holes in the stencil, onto the dark green card.   Matt this onto a slightly larger piece of white card and glue onto the bubble background card.

  
Using a black ink pad, stamp the  'Get well' to the right of the  strip.   Colour with fine liner pens to match the colours of the spray inks.

Die-cut three butterflies using the  White Rose Studio butterfly die, from the left-over coloured background card and rub some Inca gold Alchemy Wax over them..

  

  
Glue the three butterflies down the centre of the strip.

    
Glue a gold ribbon bow to the top right corner of the base card.

Floral Fantasy.

Good Saturday afternoon  folks,

Hope your weekend has got off to a good start  and you are all happy.    The weather here is great, blue skies and sunshine !   there was a very small shower of rain earlier but nothing to speak of.    The only complaint I have is,  that it is very windy but hey! we have sunshine lol!   We can put up with that, as long as we have the beautiful sunshine lol!

I thought I would post my blog this afternoon instead of this evening, as I do like to watch the T.V. on a Saturday evening and relax with my Hubby.      My card today was made for Sue and Harvey of Imagination Crafts in April this year.  For this card I have used amongst other things, their Daisy Flourish Border stencil and Mixed Media Spray Inks.

     
Fold the ready creased white card down the centre crease line, making a 7"x7" base card on which to work   Lay the daisy flourish border stencil onto the top left corner and using a blending tool, colour the design using  distress inks - Peacock feathers, Seedless preserves, Squeezed lemonade & Mowed lawn.   

    
Repeat the above for the bottom right corner.   Tale a piece of smooth white card and lay the stencil onto it and put through an embossing machine and emboss.

Colour with the Mixed Media Spray Inks and when dry, sand with a sanding block, taking away some of the colour, which accentuates the flourish design.

   
Trim this down to about four and a half inches square.   Matt onto a slightly larger piece of white card, then on to some maroon card.

   
Matt this onto the centre of the base card.   Glue three green gemstones to the top  right and the bottom left corners of the base card.

Colour a further piece of white card, using the spray inks, then die-cut the flowers using the Tim Holtz flower dies.   Matt these one on top of the other and glue to the centre of the card.   Glue a green gemstone to the centre of the flower.   Add some Antique gold Starlight paint to the edges of the petals.

Dainty Daisies.

Hello Followers, Friends and Visitors,

Hope you  all had a good weekend and are well and happy.   If not here's a little (((hug)) from me.   Tonight I would like to share a card with you which I made for Sue and Harvey of Imagination Craft's in April this year.     I  have used their new Mixed Media Spray Inks and of course their beautiful Sparkle Medium.

 
Die-cut four corners using the green card and glue one in each corner of the white base card.   Matt a square of green card onto the base card.

   
Add some shaving foam to a plastic container and spray a few sprays of the coloured inks onto the foam.   Move the colours around the surface of the foam, using a cocktail stick or similar item.  Lay a piece of white card on top of the foam pressing gently for a few seconds, then lift the card away.   Remove the excess foam using the metal spatula.   The pattern should have transferred to the card.

  

When dry, lay the stencil on top of the card and spread the pink Sparkle Medium over the flower heads and the spearmint  over the leaves and stems.   Remove the stencil and leave the image to dry.

Trim this to size and fix to the base card, leaving a border of green showing.   Lastly, glue three green gems to the top right of the card.

That's this card finished.   The shaving foam technique is such fun to do as you never get the same pattern twice, I do hope  you give it a try.   Not only do you achieve a lovely background, your card smells lovely too lol!!    Cheerio for now and I will be back soon.

My Butterfly Canvas.

Hi there Everyone,

Hope you've all had a good Saturday.  Mine has been spent in the craft room preparing samples for Imagination Craft's next shows on the Hochanda TV Channel later this month.   As usual I have some fabulous products to work with.   Beautiful Starlight paint colours, gorgeous rice papers and some lovely stencils.   I will be posting some 'sneaky peeks' nearer the time of the shows.  

Well  folks, onto tonight's creation.   This was made for Imagination's  show on the 29th April 2016.  This was my second attempt at decorating a canvas.   I really do not know why I haven't done one before but I thoroughly enjoyed making this, I  am now addicted to decorating canvases lol!

I have to admit, it is quite daunting sitting looking at a blank 8"x10" canvas lol!    The only way I have found, is to just start!   so I coat the canvas with Gesso, choose a stencil, then a colour which is in keeping with the image on the stencil  and  somehow, my canvas just, evolves lol!    I liken it to writing a letter, it is just first putting pen to paper, then once you have done that, the words just flow!   very similar thought process.

     
I painted the canvas  with black Gesso,  then a coat of silver Starlight paint.    I then dry-brushed it with white Gesso.

The large rose stencil was laid on the top left side and some white Stencil   Medium spread through the design, using a metal spatula.   I glued  some Art Cutz leaves below the rose.

I then applied a further coat of black Gesso and then another coat of white Gesso.

    

I painted some pieces of hexagonal Art Cutz with the Inca Gold Starlight paint amd glued them to the top and bottom right corners.

     
I coloured some Nottingham Lace with the Inca Gold Starlight paint and glued them to the top and bottom left corners.

   
I took two Art Cutz butterflies exactly the same and coloured them with the Starlight paints,glued one on top of the other, then glued them to the canvas, adding some pearls to the butterfly's body.  

     
I then took some black cord and coloured it using the  Gold and Dried Rose  Starlights, then glued it to the canvas, below the butterfly.

I coloured some white card with the dried rose and a little gold  Starlight paints, then die cut some flowers, using the Tim Holtz dies.   These were then glued to the canvas and added a pearl to each flower centre.  

   
Rub over the canvas and along the edges with the  Inca Gold and Sherbert Alchemy waxes.   Well that's my second canvas finished.  Hope you like it.   Have a peaceful, relaxing Sunday and I will be back soon.

Monochrome mice.

Good evening Followers, Friends and Visitors,

Hope your week is going well.   We have had yet another warm, sunny day here today.    Managed a little time in my craft room this morning after the housework was done.   After lunch went out to our local knit and natter session with my friends then back home to get our Grandson from school.

Tonight's card was made for Sue & Harvey of Imagination Crafts in April of this year.   I decided  to make this  black and white for a change.      I have used one of Imagination's  new Art stamps, Harvest Mice, so cute.

    
Using a ready creased white card, fold down the crease line, making a 7"x7" base card on which to work.   Take the 'Happy Birthday' stamp from the Clematis decoupage stamp set, and a black ink pad, stamp the Happy Birthday  on each edge of the base card.   

   
Stamp the leaf stem from the same decoupage stamp set, in each corner, again using a black ink pad.

Take another piece of white card and stamp  the harvest mice onto it, using a black ink pad.   Trim around the image and matt onto a larger piece of black card,  leaving  a half inch border of  black card showing.

     
Matt this onto the centre of the base  card.     Card now completed, hope you like it.
