Joy to the World.

Good evening Followers, Friends and Visitors,

Hope you've managed to stay safe and warm during this cold, snowy spell of weather.   We have been lucky so far, hardly any snow but I shouldn't speak to soon lol!

Tonight I am sharing another of my quick and easy Christmas card designs.   All the stamps used in the making of this card ie: the star, holly leaf and the word 'JOY' were all given free with craft magazines during Sept/Oct/Nov. this year.

Fold a piece of A5 white linen card in half landscape style.   Using a Versmark pad, stamp the star randomly over the front of the card, then emboss with white embossing powder.

Colour the card with the Mowed lawn, Victorian velvet and Stormy sky Distress inks, using a blending tool or a piece of cut 'n' dry foam.   The embossed areas will resist the inks, which makes the white embossing 'pop.'

Die-cut an oval from white card and colour with the same distress inks.  Stamp the word 'JOY' onto the centre using a black ink pad.   Then lay the next  smallest oval die which has the slits in it, onto the oval die-cut.   (I used the oval die set from Nellie Snellen).

Colour the word 'JOY' with the Stormy sky. Mowed lawn and Victorian velvet Distress Inks using a paintbrush and water, adding a little gold to the design on each letter, using a gold pen.   Colour the holly and berries at each side of  'JOY.'

Glue a small red satin ribbon bow to the top left of the card.

Stamp the holly leaf 27 times, using the Mowed lawn Distress Ink and cut each one out leaving a small tag at the base of each leaf.   Push the little tag through each slit on the coloured oval and secure on the back with a little sticky tape.   Glue this to the base card.

Add three  red berries to each set of two holly leaves, using the Red Detail Sparkle by Imagination Crafts.

Well that's this card finished.   Please pop back again soon and thank you for stopping by my blog.   Take care of yourselves and stay safe and warm during this cold spell.

                                                                  Love and rainbows,

                                                                  Hugs   Jennifer xx.
