My 'Verona Flower' Tag.

Hi there Friends, Followers and Visitors,

It is time again, well a little past time lol!  for me to share another of my creations with you.   Thank you all so much for taking the time to stop by my blog and for those of you who have left me a comment, an extra thank you.   I do enjoy reading each and every one,   Yet another weekend nearly over!   where does the time go lol!      My post tonight is another of my tags.   I have used  Imagination Craft's stencil, Sparkle Mediums and red  Mixed Media spray ink.  The flower is a Stampendous stamp  which I have in my craft  stash and  really like, Versamark pad and Black embossing powder.   I have also used distress inks for the background colours.

 
Cut a large tag shape from red card and a smaller one from white card.   Lay the Verona stencil onto the smaller white tag and  using a piece of cut 'n' dry foam, dab the distress inks through the outer border design only.    I used Scattered straw, Festive Berries,  Dried Marigold and Peeled paint. 

     
Leave the stencil in position and rub the Hazelnut Sparkle Medium over the design.   This is called the 'foiling technique' for those who may not know of this technique,    I use my finger to do this but you could also use a piece of cut 'n; dry foam.   This action flattens and pushes the glitter in the  Sparkle medium, to the edges if the stencil design, leaving the centres more or less clear. 

     
Remove the stencil and wash it.   Leave the image to dry.   Colour the area inside the border with the distress inks. 

Lay the Verona stencil onto a piece of white card and spread the gold shine and hazelnut Sparkle Mediums over the central design only, using the metal spatula.   Remove the stencil and leave the image to dry.   Cut out, leaving a tiny border of white showing.   Glue this to the smaller of the tags.

  
Stamp the flower onto some white card, using the Versamark pad, then heat emboss with black embossing powder.   Paint the flower with diluted red Mixed Media Spray ink.   When dry, cut out and  glue on to the central design, with Magi-bond glue.   Add some silicone glue under each petal to add some dimension to the tag. 

  
Glue three green gems to the top right and three to the bottom right,.   Add some sage green. gold shine and hazelnut Sparkle Mediums to the flower centre, then glue a green gem in the flower centre.

 

  
Glue the small tag to the large red tag,   Punch a hole in the top and thread some gold ribbon through the hole.

My 'Happy Memories' 10" x 12" Canvas.

Hello my Lovelies,

Thank you all so much for your kind comments and visits to my last blog.   We have had another warm, sunny day here, despite showers being forecast lol!   We could hear  distant thunder this afternoon but thankfully it didn't reach us.   I hope you have all enjoyed your weekend whatever you have been doing.

It is time for me to share another of my projects.   Tonight I am sharing another of my canvases which was made for Imagination Craft's One Day Special shows on the Hochanda T.V. Channel, at the end of last month.

  
Begin by painting the canvas with the acrylic fabric paints, Ashy rose, Fuschia, Yellow, Sage & Lavender blue, spraying a little water onto the canvas first, using the canvas in a landscape syle, using downward strokes.   Leave to dry

.Lay the stencil onto the canvas, on the left.   Hold in place with masking tape, then spread the Structure paste through the design.

  

Remove the stencil and wash it.   When the structure paste is dry, 'flip' the stencil over and lay on the right of the canvas, secure with masking tape.  

     
    
and spread the structure paste through the design.   Remove the stencil and leave the image to dry.

      
Lay the stencil back in position and using the metal spatula, spread the copper Textile Sparkle Medium over the top of the structure paste.   Remove the stencil and wash it and repeat it on the right side of the canvas.

  
Lay the 'Celebrate' stencil across the top of the canvas and spread the structure paste through the design, remove the stencil and leave to dry.   Wash and dry the stencil, then replace the stencil back in position and stipple some Menthol and Antique Pink Starlight Textile paints through the word 'Celebrate' on top of the paste, using a stencil brush.

     
Colour some black card with the copper textile Sparkle Medium and when dry, die-cut two ornate frames and eight corners from it.

          

 Take two vintage photos and place behind the frames (I used a Joanna Sheen CD rom which I have, called 'Fashion Boutique,' to create my photos.

Glue the frames to the left and right, centrally on each texture paste design.

  
Glue one corner die in each corner of the canvas

  
Glue two corners together and glue to the canvas, just under the word  'Celebrate'.   Repeat this and glue the other two together,  near the bottom of the canvas.

   
Using the stencil, draw around one of the flowers onto some white card, do this twice, then cut them out, paint them with the menthol, adding a touch of the pink.

  
Glue these in the centre, between the frames, using Magi-bond glue.   Shape the leaves (flowers) with your fingers.

 Colour a piece of white card with the Ashy rose and Fuschia acrylic paints and cut out a 2 inch circle.   Make a cut round and round the circle, making a spiral.

  
Roll this up using a quilling tool or your fingers, then glue so it does not unwind.

  
Glue the rose to the green flowers (used as leaves for this canvas) and the canvas is now finished.

Quite a time consuming canvas, I do hope you have managed to stay with me until the end lol!

My Magnolia and Silver Canvas Tote Bag.

Hope you are all enjoying your weekend.  It was a lovely day here  today until just before teatime, when it turned cloudy and very dull.  Then it really poured down for about five minutes along with thunder and lightening then  it stopped raining and the sun came back out and has turned out a beautiful evening.   So pleased we got the lawns cut yesterday lol!

On to my project for tonight,  another of my canvas tote bags.    I really had fun decorating this bag.   Ok,  shall we  get started.   Begin by inserting a piece of cardboard into the bag, so when the bag is painted, the paint does not transfer to the back of the bag.   Next, mask off a rectangle, leaving approximately two inches of the white bag showing.   Spray a little water inside the masking tape, then using a paint brush, colour inside the masking tape with the Mulberry Purple  Acrylic Fabric paint.   Remove the masking tape.  

When dry, lay the MA-44 stencil on top of the purple paint and, using a metal spatula, spread the silver Fabric Sparkle Medium over the design.   Remove the stencil and leave to dry.

   
Roughly cut out the individual magnolias from  the transfer.   Place them on the bag in the position you want, with the 'fuzzy' side down.  Lay a piece of baking parchment or greaseproof paper on top of the magnolias.

  Then using a hot iron  (but most importantly, no steam ! )  iron over the transfers, keeping the iron moving  in a circular movement for a few minutes,   just below the silver design.      Carefully lift one corner of the transfer to see if it transferred.   If it has, leave it until the transfer has cooled completely before removing the backing sheet,  that's when you get that 'Wow' effect.

   

         
Lay the cleaned stencil back on the bottom of the rectangle, masking off any magnolia which may be in the way of the stencil design, using paper cut to shape, then secure the stencil in position.   Once again spread the silver Fabric Sparkle Medium over the stencil on the bottom of the purple rectangle.     Remove the stencil and the masks.

   
Mask off the outside edge of the rectangle of purple paint and another mask, approximately half an inch from the first mask.   Using a large stencil brush, stipple the Menthol Starlight Textile paint between the masking tape, all around the rectangle.

         

    

   
                                       Remove the masking tape and the bag is now finished.

  
I do hope you like my bag as much as I enjoyed making it, not only was it a pleasure to make, it is also a useful item and would make a lovely present for that 'someone special.'   A huge plus point is, the paints, fabric Sparkle Medium and transfers are all washable !   How brilliant is that lol!

My 'Butterfly Sunset' 10" x 12" Canvas.

Good evening Friends, Followers and Visitors,

Well, what sort of day have you had, a good one I hope.   I had a fairly productive day today, unlike the other day, when the  samples I was making just didn't seem to work out and ended up in the wastepaper bin lol!       Did the usual chores around the house then did some crafting (making samples for Imagination Craft's next shows on Hochanda, which will be coming up soon).   The next job was to help Hubby wheelbarrow the logs he sawed up earlier in the year and pass them to him to stack up the log bay.    These logs will not be used until the winter after this, as they need to dry out.   Then it was time to prepare our evening meal.

Tonight I am sharing another of my canvases made for Imagination's ODS shows on Hochanda T.V. at the end of May 2018.

   
Using the canvas in a landscape style, paint it using the yellow and fuschia Fabric Acrylic Paints.   When this is dry, stamp the stamp from the  'Rockfall' set, around all four edges of the canvas using a black ink pad.

 
Using the sun shape from the 'Create a Scene' stencil,  add the sun to the left of the canvas.   Add three birds to the top left, using the the same stencil and a black ink pad and a piece of cut 'n ' dry foam.

 
                                         Stamp the Irish Blessing on the right of the sun.

Cut out and feather the tall plant and the dandelion head from the rice paper and glue to the right-hand side of the canvas, using the decoupage glue.

  

 
Cut out and feather the black butterfly plus a little of the script from the rice paper.   Glue this to the canvas, putting the butterfly in the centre.

              
Lay the Folk Meadow Butterflies stencil onto the bottom edge of thr canvas and spreasd the Texture Paste over the design with the metal spatula.   When dry, repeat the process along the rest of the bottom edge.                                                      

                                                                                                                                                                                                        

                                                                                                                                                              

          

  

When dry,   lay the stencil back in position and, using a stencil brush, stipple some Rich Gold Starlight  Textile Paint over the Texture Paste design.   Repeat this until all the leaves and flowers along the bottom of the canvas, are covered.   Draw around the edges of the texture paste design using a black pen.

Roughly cut our the black butterfly from the second sheet of the same design rice paper and glue onto a piece of thin white card, using the decoupage glue.   When dry, fussy-cut out the butterfly, trimming away any excess white card.    Paint the edges of the wings and body with the rich gold textile paint.

3D the butterfly onto the original design, using silicone glue.   Add a little gold to the undersides of the birds.

Dot some of the textile rich gold paint on the dandelion and seed head.   Well that's it,  the canvas is now finished.   Hope you like it.   Thanks so much for all your comments and visits, they are all appreciated.   Enjoy the rest of your week and I will be back again soon, in the meantime,  enjoy the beautiful weather we are having.   See you all again soon.

Birthday Girl.

Good evening Lovelies,

Well it's been a bit better here today.   Quite cloudy but dry, until this teatime,  which turned
out to be a beautiful sunny evening.      I seem to have been busy all day but I cannot actually see what I've done lol!  do you have days like this too?    No crafting was done today.    Hope you've had an equally good day,  before we know it, it will be the weekend once again, they do seem to come around so quickly lol!

Tonight I thought I'd share a card I made in September 2017.   I just love this stamp which was given free with the Quick Cards magazine and the image is by Elisabeth Bell.

 
Make a base card 15cm. square from white card.   Take a smaller piece of blue card and matt a smaller square of the red patterned paper onto the blue.   Cut out a smaller piece of the flower patterned paper and fix to the bottom half of the red paper only, leaving a small border of red paper showing on both sides and along the bottom.

Punch out two large and four small daisies from white card and glue in the top right and bottom left corners.

       
Die-cut a white label and stamp the girl onto it using a black ink pad.   Colour her with Promarker

      
alcohol pens, adding a grey shadow around the image.   Die-cut a slightly larger label from blue card.   Glue the white label onto the blue label.

Fix some ribbon across the centre of  the card, securing on the back of the blue card, then fix this to the white base card.

   
Glue the label to the centre of the base card, on top of the ribbon.    Stamp  'HAPPY'  and 'BIRTHDAY'  onto a spare piece of white card, using a black ink pad.   Cut these out and glue

  
'HAPPY ' to the top left and  'BIRTHDAY''  to the bottom right.   Add some Imagination Craft's
blue Just Pearls to the flower centres.
