The Key to my Heart.

Good Morning Followers, Friends and Visitors,

Thank you all for your comments and visits to my last blog post.   We were out all day yesterday, shopping, so I got no crafting done!   Hopefully I will spend time today, after the dreaded housework is done ha ha!   I am working on the next samples for Imagination Craft's next shows on Hochanda T.V.  cannot tell you what or when yet but I will as soon as I'm allowed lol!   This morning I would like to share another card I made for Imagination's One Day Special shows on Hochanda  last weekend.  This is made mainly using one of  Imagination's gorgeous rice papers, Starlight Textile paint and a heart die by Crafter's Companion,  (Wedding die, heart no.  C118.)

Die-cut a Spellbinder's Grand Label from black card.   Keep the die-cut for another project and use the negative, cutting the outside edges just smaller than the white 7" x 7" base card.

Using a black ink pad, stamp the hessian stamp from the 'Rockfall' set, on the bottom left and right of the base card (making sure the images  will be inside the black negative when it is glued to the card front).   Then glue the negative border to the base card.

Using the Crafter's Companion Rustic heart die, die-cut a heart from white card.   (As this die is meant to be used on the centre of a card and has no outside cutting edge, I cut out the heart shape, around the design with scissors).   Paint the heart with the  Rich Gold Starlight Textile paint and when dry, glue it onto a piece of black card.   Trim away any excess black card and glue the heart to the centre bottom of the base card,  making sure the point of the heart is in line with the point on the black border.

Cut out the word L O V E with the flourishes around them,   from the rice paper, the key and the bee and glue these onto some thin white card, using decoupage glue.   When dry, fussy cut the letters, the bee and the key.

Glue  the  L O V E with the flourishes around each letter to the top of the card,  the key, to the bottom left.    Glue the bee to the bottom right of the card using silicone glue.

From the second sheet of rice paper, cut out the word L O V E  once again, cutting away the flourishes this time, leaving only the letters.   Glue this onto some white card using decoupage glue.   When dry, fussy cut the letters and glue them on the gold heart.

Glue a small white gem in each corner of the black border and glue a burgundy satin ribbon bow to the top of the heart.

My card is now finished.      I  always think black/white and gold together on a card looks classy and elegant.   Hope you lkie it.    Thanks so much for stopping by my blog.   Enjoy your weekend and I will be back soon with another project, this time another mixed media canvas.

                                                                 Love & Rainbows,

                                                                   Hugs   Jennifer xx.
