Hope you are managing to keep warm during this cold spell of weather. Thank you for your visits to my last blog post, hope you enjoyed your visit. Tonight I would like to share a card I made for the 'Sue Baker Presents' shows on the Create & Craft T.V. Channel tomorrow, Friday 6th. December 2019, launching at 8am. and again at 2pm. Hope you can tune in, as this is a stunning collection called 'The Secret Garden.' I know you will just love this as much as I do, o.k. here is a sneaky peak of my card, hope you like it.
Using a black inkpad, stamp the word 'Believe' in the top left corner of a 7"x7" white base card.
Stamp the sentiment in the bottom right corner.
Die-cut a 6" circle from brown card and glue to the centre of the base card. Next die-cut a five and a half inch circle from white card and colour this with the shabby shutters, peeled paint, fired brick and fossilized amber distress inks, using a blending tool, adding a bit more fired brick around the edge on the top half and a darker green to the bottom half edges. Matt this onto the brown circle on the white base card.
Stamp the deer image onto the coloured circle using a black inkpad. Take some spare white card and stamp the deer image a further 4 times. Colour these images using the Cadence dark gold and champagne Hybrid Metallic paints. In this photo the deer look as though they are painted with different colours but they are the same, it is the way the light is shining on them.
Cut out and 3D the image using silicone glue, then glue the 3D image to the original stamped image on the circle.
Stamp the cornflower onto spare white card 4 times using black ink. Colour these with watered down Cadence clover green and ultramarine blue Hybrid acrylic paints and die-cut them, using the die from the collection.
Arrange the cornflowers around the base of the deer and glue in position.
Die-cut 3 bees using the bee die from the collection, then using the bee stamp which matches the bee die-cut, stamp the image on top using a black inkpad.
Colour the bees with yellow and orange fine liner pens. Colour the wings with well watered down ultramarine blue acrylic paint. Glue these to the card front.
That's my card finished, I do hope you like it, I have loved working with this whole collection, especially the deer, as I adore deer........I think that love stems from the film 'Bambi' which I saw many times as a child lol!
Thanks for stopping by my blog, hope you've enjoyed your visit. Please pop back again, as I will be sharing more of my cards from this collection.
Please remember to tune in to the Create & Craft T.V. Channel on Friday 6th. December at 8am and 2pm to see demonstrations by our lovely Sue Baker. Take care of yourselves until my next blog post.
