'Butterflies & Beauty.'

Good evening Lovelies, hope you have all had a good weekend, despite the rain.  Thank you once again for all your visits and comments on my last blog......much appreciated.

Tonight I would like to share one of my sample cards, made for Imagination Craft's shows on the Create & Craft T.V. Channel today.   This was made using Mandy's signature Collection called  'Always and  Forever,'  a very pretty collection.

Begin by making the border around a white 8" x 8"  base card by using the lacy wing design from the stencil.   Stipple some mushroom Adirondack ink through the design, around all four card  edges.

Colour some spare white the Cadence gold metallic relief paste and when dry, cut 4 x 1" squares from it.   Glue one of these in each of the 4 corners of the base card.

Cut a 7"  square of white card.   Cut out the section of rice paper of your choice and 'feather' all four edges by wetting around the design with water and a paintbrush, then gently pulling the rice paper from the chosen section, leaving a beautiful feathered edge.   Glue this to the 7" square of  white card using the Cadence decoupage glue, making sure the feathered edges are glued down.

Using a black ink pad, stamp the feather in the bottom left of the background, 'Always' at the top and 'Forever' in the bottom right corner.

Add some of the gold relief paste around the edges of this background card, using your finger or a piece of cut 'n' dry foam.

Fix this card to the 8" x 8" white base card.

From the second sheet of rice paper of the same design, roughly cut out the two butterflies.  Glue these to some spare white card using the decoupage glue.   When dry, cut them out, cutting away any excess white card.      Shape the wings a little and make a lilac satin ribbon bow.

Add a little silicone glue under each of the  butterfly wings and glue the ribbon bow to the top right of the background.

The photo below shows the dimension of the card.

Well that's all from me for now but please pop back, as I will be posting another card made using this collection quite soon.   Until then, stay safe and be happy.

                                                                Love and rainbows,

                                                                Hugs   Jennifer xx.
