Black and white hearts

Good evening Fellow bloggers, friend and visitors,

First of all, I would just like to say a big 'welcome' to my latest follower, Dawn Lancaster, thank you so much for following my blog and I hope you enjoy your visits and of course, not forgetting  all my lovely blogging friends who have joind my blog in the past.

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.    We had a quiet one for a change.   The weather today has been gorgeous, warm and sunny.   Had no time to craft today, we had 10 large dumpy bags of logs delivered which kept Hubby and myself busy all afternoon lol!!   We have emptied 8 bags,  leaving another 2 to go !!   They have all been stacked up in our log bays, ready for the coming winter for our lovely cosy, warm log fire.

On to tonight's card which I made for Sue and Harvey of Imagination Crafts  in September 2011.  This beautiful heart/leaf stencil is still available on their website.   I love black and white cards as they always seem so crisp and clean cut.   Ok , off we go then.

Take a pice of white card and lay the stencil on top and dab the Lamp Black stencil paint through the design using a stencil brush.   Put aside to dry.

Make a base card from white card stock.   Cut out a square of black card to fit on top of the white base card but leaving a narrow border of the white showing.   Using the largest of the  round Nellie's Frames Dies, die-cut a circle from the centre of the square of black card.   Put the cut out circle aside for use on another project as we will be using the negative ( left over after die-cutting the circle from the black piece of card.)

Using the EK Success punch, punch a heart in each corner of the black card.   Next, using the tiny hole punch, punch out holes  evenly  spaced around the card.

Glue the card with the black stencilled leaf hearts, to the back of the black card, so the heart leaves show through the round  aperture.   Glue the black card to the white base card.   Punch out nine tiny butterflies and glue to the card front.

Using the Sizzix flower dies, die-cut the flowers from white card, shape then glue them together and glue to the left-hand side of the card.

Punch out two leaf stems using the Martha Stewart punch,  from white card.   Glue one to each side of the flower.   Add rhinestones to the flower centre and three more to the bottom right, just below the circle aperture.

Well that is that finished now, quite an easy card to make.   Hope you like it.   Take care of yourselves until I'm back again in a few days.

I really appreciate your interest and support in my creations, just hope they give you some inspiration  for your own cardmaking.

                                                               Love and rainbows,

                                                                Hugs    Jennifer xx.
