A Christmas Candle

Good afternoon  my lovely Followers, Friends and Visitors,

Another early post from me today lol!  makes a change from midnight posts!   Hope you all had a good weekend and that your week is going well, what ever you are doing.   This afternoon I have another Christmas card for you, using of course!   Imagination Craft's products .   I made this card for Sue and Harvey in October 2013.   The main image is their beautiful 'Candle'  decoupage stamp set.     This image can be used as a flat, stamped image or decoupaged.   Personally, I love decoupage and this card involves 3D decoupage.   I do hope you like it.

Begin by making a base card from black card.    Matt a piece of white card onto the black, leaving a small border of white showing.   Cut a slightly smaller piece of black card and lay the 'Ivy border' stencil onto it and rub Versmark through the design using a piece of cut n' dry.   Remove the stencil and brush the mica powders over the Versamark.   Brush away the excess powder.   Matt this onto the base card.

Stamp the main image onto white card four times using a Versmark pad and heat emboss with black embossing powder.    Colour the images with the Vintage Pearly Paint Palette,   which I love, such gorgeous colours with a hint of gold in them!    When dry, cut out and 3D.

Take a square of black card and rub over it with a Versamark pad, then brush the mica powders  over it.   Next, take the stamp with the main image on and cover it with Versamark.   Stamp on top of the card which you have just brushed with mica powder, this will lift off the mica powder leaving the black card showing.

Cut out and emboss the square shape from the mica coloured card using the 'X Cut' die.   Matt this onto some white card and   trim away the white corners, then matt this onto a slightly larger piece of black card.

Cut away the text side of your main image, leaving the scrolls and candle in tact, that you stamped onto white card.   Fix the 3D image onto the die - cut square and glue to the centre of the card.

Well that is it finished.   One little tip - to stop the mica powders being rubbed off, spray your card with a cheap hairspray but spray at a distance or you will get blobs of spray  which will show up on the black card.    Hope you like it.

Until we meet again in a few days, look after yourselves and have a good week.

                                                                Love and rainbows,

                                                               Big Hugs    Jennifer xx.
