The Holly Tree.

Good evening Followers Friends and Visitors,

Time again for another post.  Hope your weekend is all  you wished it would be.   I've had a quiet crafty day today, after my busy day yesterday.  Tonight I would like to share a Christmas card with you, which I made in July 2012 for Sue and Harvey of Imagination Crafts.   I have used one of their fabulous decoupage stamp sets, the ' Holly Tree,'    the 'Bauble' embossable,  'Black Stars' Sparkle Medium and my favourite paint palette,  'Vintage,'  such gorgeous colours.  For this card I have not chosen the usual Christmas colours, hope you like it.

Make a base card from black card stock.   Matt a piece of white card onto the black, leaving a small border of the black showing.   Onto this matt a piece of black card,  again leaving a border of white showing.

Take a piece of pink pearlised card slightly smaller than the black matt and lay the 'Baubles' embossable halfway across the pink card  and spread the sparkle medium over the design using the metal spatula.   Remove the embossable and leave the image to dry.   When dry, stamp the greetings and two pieces of holly around the edges on the right-hand edge of the pink card, using the Versmark pad and heat emboss with black embossing powder..   Fix the pink card to the base card  using double-sided sticky tape.

Take some white card and stamp the main image of the holly tree onto it, using a Versamark pad and heat emboss with black embossing powder.   Stamp this image a further four times.   Colour using the 'Vintage'
paint palette , brush and water.

3D this onto the original image, using silicone glue.   Fix this onto some white card, then onto black, each time leaving small borders.

Add three pink stars to the right-hand edge of the pink card and one to the top  left of the main image.   Well there we are, this card is finished.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.   See you all again soon with another project.

                                                              Love and rainbows,

                                                             Big Hugs  Jennifer xx.

  4. This is simply stunning. Love that pink pearlized paper and how pretty with the black embossing. Love the coloring on the embossed leaves of the holly tree and the embossed lettering looked so nice. Some of the products you used are unfamiliar to me, but you have a magnificently beautiful card shared. I LOVE it! Happy wkend. TFS & Hugs

    1. Hi Mary, thank you so much for your fabulous comment, so pleased you like it. I know I haven't used the traditional Christmas colours but I think it has worked quite well. Most of the products I use are from Imagination Crafts, who have some great products. I have made sample cards for them for over 10 years now and I have enjoyed every minute of it. Hope you have a happy weekend too Hun. Take care.
      Hugs Jennifer xx
