'Romantic Rose.'

Hi there Peeps,

Hope your Bank Holiday is going well whatever you are doing.  Another cold, windy day here, looking forward to a rise in temperature soon,  must look on the bright side lol!!     My card tonight was made for Imagination Craft's latest shows on the Hochanda TV Channel this weekend 29th. & 30th. April.   I  used some Starlight paint to colour the base card and  I wanted to match the rose  colour to the base card, so I coloured my own Sparkle Medium and I think it worked ok.

Paint around all edges of the base card using a paintbrush and the dried rose Starlight paint.   Cut a piece of dark navy card, smaller than the base card and punch all four corners, using the corner punch.   Put this to one side for the moment.

Take a square of white card and trim to fit inside the punched corners of the navy square.   Spray some shaving foam into a plastic container, then spray some fuchsia Mixed Media Ink onto it.   Lay the piece of white card gently on top, then lift off, the colour will now have transferred to the card.   Remove the foam from the card using a metal spatula.   Fix this card into the punched corners.

Take another piece of white card, smaller than the coloured card and lay the large rose stencil onto it.   On a piece of plastic or an old  cd (no longer usable) , mix some Diamond Sparkle Medium with  a tiny amount of the fuchsia Mixed Media Ink, until an even colour is achieved, leaving a small amount of paler medium for highlighting.

Spread this over the rose design on the stencil, using a metal spatula.  adding touches of paler pink mixed Sparkle Medium in places to gently highlight some areas.   Remove the stencil and leave the image to dry.

Fix this on top of the coloured card, inside the punched corners.   Glue this to the base card.   Die-cut a plain butterfly from the left-over coloured card which was coloured using the shaving foam technique.   Die-cut an 'open' butterfly from the dark navy card.   Glue one on top of the other and glue the body in position.

Glue the butterfly to the bottom right of the base card, adding some silicone glue under the wings to give some dimension to the card.

That's all from me for now, enjoy the rest of your Bank Holiday and I will be back soon.

                                                                  Love and rainbows,

                                                              Happy Hugs   Jennifer xx.
