Flight of the Butterflies - a ' Sneaky Peek'.

Good evening Followers, Friends and Visitors,

Well at last, a much better day weatherwise although still a little chilly.    Thank you so much for your lovely comments and visits on my last blog, I really appreciate each comment and every visit.   I would like to share a card with you tonight which I have made for Imagination Craft's  One Day Special shows  on the Hochanda T.V. Channel this weekend,  launching at 8pm. on Sunday 30th. April 2017.    I have used one of Imagination's gorgeous rice papers to make this card.   As soon as I saw this particular rice paper, I just knew I had to use it lol!   the design and colours of these images are just so lovely and they really made me want to get started straight away lol!    So without further ado, here it is.

I used a 7"x7" ivory card as a base card on which to work.    Take the sheet of rice paper no. 196 and tear around the edges of the flower and butterflies, to do this, I use a paint brush dipped in clear water then paint around the images, wetting the rice paper.   Next gently pull the wet edges with you finger nail, to 'feather' the edges, so they blend into the card when glued to the front of the  base card.

Cover the reverse of the rice paper with Imagination Craft's decoupage glue and lay in position on  the left-hand side of the card, smoothing it down.   Do not worry if the decoupage glue comes through to the front of the rice paper as this will in no way spoil your card.

Paint three candi circles with the beautiful Hibiscus Starlight paint and glue them down the left-hand side of the flowers.

Glue the four yellow butterflies onto a piece of  ivory card, using the decoupage glue.   When dry, cut out each butterfly and glue to the front of the base card using Magi-bond glue, adding some silicone glue under each wing.   Paint the blue butterflies with a well watered down wash of the Hibiscus Starlight paint and the yellow butterflies with a well watered down Canary Yellow Starlight.

Stamp 'Happy Birthday' at the top of the card, using a black ink pad.   Lastly stamp the Irish Blessing in the bottom right corner of the base card, again using a black ink pad.

Well that's my card finished, hope it brings some thoughts of the Summer weather to come!   Thanks so much for taking the time to read my blog, I do hope you have enjoyed your visit and please do not forget to tune in to Hochanda T.V. at 8pm. on Sunday evening if you can.   See you all again very soon with another 'Sneaky peek.'

                                                              Love and rainbows,

                                                               Hugs   Jennifer xx,
