'Sunset Fairies' Card.

Good afternoon Friends, Followers and Visitors,

How are you all today, I do hope you are enjoying your day whatever you happen to be doing.   We had rain this morning and boy did the gardens need that lol!   The sun is back out now.   Thank you for visiting my last blog, I really appreciate each and every comment and visit and I hope you may find some inspiration for your crafting.

My card this afternoon was made last November and uses one of my favourite Lavinia stamps which I have had for many years.   I have also used one of Imagination Craft's panel stencils, the birds on the branch.   I just thought this would make a good edge to my card.   The gentle hillside was made using some paper I had in my stash which has a black core and matt gold on the surface which when torn, gives a black edge to the hills and also gives a glow on the hillside from the setting sun.   I have also used Imagination Craft's fabulous Starlight paints which I just love,  will always have them in my stash to add that special touch.

Matt a piece of black card onto a 7" x 7" ivory coloured base card, leaving a quarter inch border of the base card showing.   Next add a smaller piece of gold mirror card onto the black.

Cut a smaller piece of white card and colour the sky with the honey, marmalade and black soot distress inks.    When dry, brush over the sky with  well watered down white gold Starlight paint to give it a sparkly sheen.

Lay the panel stencil onto the left edge of the coloured card and dab the black soot through the design.

Using a black ink pad, stamp the fairies in the sky.

Stamp some flowers along the bottom of the card.   Tear some of the metallic gold paper to look like a hillside and glue it just below the stamped flowers.    Glue this to the base card.

Die-cut a square from black card and another from ivory.   Stamp the sentiment in black onto the ivory square, (given free with craft magazine).   Glue this to the  black square, then glue it to the top right corner of the base card.

Die-cut the flowers and stems from white card, using the Memory Box dies and colour the flowers with the orange oxidised and the leaves and stems with the white gold Starlight paints.

Glue these to the bankside using silicone glue.

Add dots of gold Starlight paint to the fairy dust, fairies, the flowers on the bankside and add small amounts of gold to the trees, birds and leaves.

That's all from me for now my friends, catch you all again soon.

                                                              Love and rainbows,

Happy Crafting !    Hugs   Jennifer xx.
