'Glorious Glen.'

Hi there Lovelies,

Hope you are all safe,  well  and coping with the lock down.   I would like to share a card made using Imagination Craft's gorgeous new collection........'Over the Sea to Skye.'    Our lovely Mandy will be launching this tomorrow on the Create & Craft T.V. Channel, so I hope you can tune in.   There are some beautiful stencils, rice papers and stamps.    I would like to welcome my newest follower Christine Kiehl, I hope you enjoy your visits.  Thank you for following.     O.K. onto my card.....

Take a piece of white card  seven and a quarter inches square.   Next cut out the section of rice paper you want for the background, keeping the sides and the bottom edges straight, also a little larger than the piece of card.   Feather and shape the top edge of the paper, so when it is glued to the piece of card, the top of the card will be showing.

Paint the top of the white card with the Cadence Fine Green Hybrid Acrylic paint, adding a little of the Cadence Dora Amethyst metallic paint on top of the green, by dry brushing the paint on lightly.

When this is dry, fix the rice paper onto the square of card using the Cadence decoupage glue, bending the bottom and the side edges of the rice paper to the back of the card and making sure the feathered edges are securely stuck down onto the painted edge of the card.

When this is dry, lay the stencil design onto the top right and the left side of the card and using a stencil brush, stipple the Dora emerald metallic paint through the design.

Lay the word Glen onto the top of the card and stipple the Amethyst metallic paint through the stencil.

Fix this card to an 8" ivory base card.   From the rice paper, roughly cut out the horses head and fix it to a spare piece of white card, using the Cadence decoupage glue and when this is dry, trim away any excess white card.   Fix this to the card front with sticky foam pads.   Colour the reins with a purple colouring pencil.

Paint a small piece of white card with some well watered down Fuchsia spray ink and when dry, stamp two butterflies onto it, using a black ink pad.   I used an old stamp from my stash.   Cut these out and glue to the card front, adding a little silicone glue under each wing.

Next lay the dagger from the stencil onto a spare piece of white card and stipple the Cadence Dora silver paint on the blade only,  using a stencil brush.

Next spread the gold Sparkle & Twinkle over the hilt of the dagger, using a metal spatula and remove stencil and leave the image to dry.   Cut out the dagger, shape it a little with your fingers and glue to the left-hand side of the card using silicone glue.

Well that's this card finished, I do hope you like it.......something a little different.   I have  really enjoyed working with this beautiful new collection.

Take good care of yourselves, stay safe and well.   I will be back again soon with another card from this fab collection.

                                                            Love and rainbows,

                                                            Hugs   Jennifer xx.
