Hello Lovelies,
I hope you are well and safe. Thank you all for your visits and lovely comments on my last blog post, I really appreciate each and every single one. It's time again I think, for me to share another of my sample cards, made for the Imagination Craft's show on the Create & Craft T.V. Channel last month. I have used rice papers from the Imagination Craft's Vol. 4. USB, stencils from their 'Secret Garden' collection, Cadence Decoupage glue and Dora Metallic paint. Hope you like it, this rice paper is such a pretty design.
Cut a 7" square of white card and cut out the chosen part of the rice paper of your choice slightly larger than the white card. Using the Cadence decoupage glue, fix the rice paper to the white card, making sure there are no air bubbles on the front of the design, then fold the excess paper to the back of the white card and secure with some decoupage glue.
When this is dry, lay the key escutcheon from the stencil onto the bottom right corner of the rice paper design. Spread some white Structure Paste through the design using a metal spatula. Remove the stencil and leave the image to dry.
Repeat the above once again but this time lay the key design from the stencil onto the top left of the rice paper design and spread the structure paste through it. Remove the stencil and leave this image to dry.
Rub a little of the Cadence Zinober Gold paint around all four edges of the rice paper background, using a piece of cut 'n' dry foam.
Re-lay the key from the stencil over the structure paste and using a stencil brush, stipple the Zinober Gold metallic paint over the top of the white paste.
Repeat the above but this time for the key escutcheon.
Matt and layer this piece of card onto a slightly larger piece of lilac card and then onto an 8" x 8" ivory base card.
From the second piece of rice paper of the same design, roughly cut out the butterfly from the top right and the bird with a couple of the flowers and glue these to some spare white card, using the decoupage glue and leave to dry. When dry, cut out, trimming away any excess white card. Add a touch of the Zinober Gold paint to the wings of both butterflies and the breast of the bird.
Glue these in position on top of the original images using silicone glue.
Below is a photo of the card, taken at an angle to show the dimension of the design.
Well Lovelies that is this card finished. Thanks so much for stopping by my blog once again, much appreciated. Hope you enjoyed your visit and that you will pop in again. Until then, take care and stay safe.
Love and rainbows,
Hugs Jennifer xx.
