'Garden Blues.'

Hi there Lovelies,

I'm back again with another card, made using the Imagination Craft's fabulous Vol. 4. USB rice papers.   I have also used stencils 'Garden Gate' & 'Nature's Beauty,' which are both from Imagination's 'Secret Garden' collection, White Structure Paste and Cadence Zinober Gold Dora Metallic Paint and Decoupage Glue.     Apologies for all the photographs in advance but I feel photos sometimes speak louder than words lol.

Cut out a 7" x 7" square of white card.   Next cut out the section of rice paper of your choice, ( as you can see, I chose the two beautiful roses and the butterfly section),  cut slightly larger than the white card, so you have some extra rice paper to fold over to the back of the white  card.   Using the Cadence decoupage glue fix the rice paper to the 7" square white card, folding the extra rice paper to the back of the card and securing with the glue, making sure there are no air bubbles on the front of the rice paper.

Using the 'Nature's Beauty' stencil, spread the white structure paste through the large spider's web, using a metal spatula, onto the top left corner of the rice paper background.

Remove the stencil and leave the image to dry.

Lay the stone wall design from the 'Garden Gate' stencil, onto the far right of the rice paper and spread the white structure paste over the design, using a metal spatula.   (Both these stencils are from Imagination Craft's 'Secret Garden collection).   Remove the stencil and wash it and leave the image to dry.

Lay the sitting fairy from the same stencil onto the rose and stipple the Zinober Gold metallic paint through the design.

Re-lay the web and stone wall stencil designs back in position, over the structure paste and using a stencil brush, stipple the Zinober Gold paint over the structure paste.  Remove stencil and leave the image to dry (which will not take long as this paint dries quickly).

Using a piece of cut 'n' dry foam, rub some Zinober Gold paint around all four edges of the card.

Fix this panel onto a slightly larger square of black card and then onto an 8" x 8" ivory base card.

Lay the word 'Believe' from the stencil onto a spare piece of black card and spread some white structure paste over it and remove stencil.    When this is dry, re-lay the stencil back in position on top of the structure paste.   Stipple the Zinober Gold paint through the stencil using a stencil brush.

When this is dry, trim around the word leaving a very narrow border of the black card showing.

Glue the word 'believe' to the bottom left corner.

Roughly cut out the butterfly from the second sheet of the same design rice paper and glue this onto a piece of white card, using the decoupage glue.   When dry, cut out, trimming away any excess white card, adding a little Zinober Gold paint onto the wings of the butterfly.

Glue the butterfly to the original image on the rice paper, adding some silicone glue under each wing and the card is finished.

The photos below are taken at an angle to show the sheen of the Zinober Gold paint and the dimension of the design.    Thank you so much as always,  for your visits and lovely comments.    Please pop back again soon.

                                                                  Love and Rainbows,

                                                                    Hugs   Jennifer xx.
