'Joy To The World.'

 Hi there Lovelies,

Hoping you are all well and keeping snug and warm now the frosty nights and  cold weather are here   Thank you all once again for your comments and visits to my last blog post, it does give me some encouragement to make more cards.     It is not long now until Christmas.   Wow! this year seems to have just flown by so quickly.

Talking of Christmas, I have another  card to share with you tonight,   This is a much more traditional Christmas card than the last one, so hope you like it.

Make a base card from white card measuring five and three quarter inches square.   Matt and layer a five and a quarter inch square of dark red card onto the white base card.

Cut a slightly smaller square of white card and using the alcohol proof black dye pad by Spectrum Noir, stamp the main image from  Stampendous in the centre of the white card.      .

Colour the image with Promarker Alcohol Pens, adding some watered down Bundled Sage Distress ink over the pine branches.

Stamp the poinsettia a further three times onto white card, using the alcohol proof ink pad and colour them with the alcohol pens, colouring the Poinsettia centre with a golden yellow pen,  then 3D them onto the main image, using silicone glue.

Using the sentiment  and the group of three snowflakes stamps which were given free with a craft magazine some time ago (sorry cannot remember which one !) and stamp the sentiment in the top right corner and the three snowflakes in the bottom left corner.   Then matt and layer this onto the base card.

Add some Cadence white liquid jewellery to the mistletoe berries and leave to dry.  ( This was done before I 3D the Poinsettia).

I had two snowflake shapes left over from another project after die-cutting a shape so I glued one to the top left and the other to the bottom right corners.

I added some small highlights to the red berries using a white pen.   Well that's it folks, card finished.   Below are a few close up photos of the card to show the dimension

That's all for now Lovelies, I will post another Christmas card soon.   Stay warm and snug and enjoy the rest of your week.

                                                                    Love and rainbows,

                                                                    Hugs   Jennifer xx,

  1. Hello Jennifer, what a gorgeous card, the poinsettia is so beautiful as is the lovely green foliage, beautifully designed and coloured.
Very cold here, but at least dry, keep cosy, Kate x
