'Raindrops and Roses.'

Hello Friends, Followers and Visitors,   hope all is well with you.   Thank you all for your comments  and visits, so very kind of you.    It's time again  to share  another of my creations with you.   This is made using the Rose Trio stencils, which were shown on Imagination Craft's shows today on the Create & Craft Channel at 9.45 am.   I have also used stamps from the Secret Garden collection and the Modernista collection, Cadence fabulous Hybrid Acrylic paints and Shimmer sprays., oh! and not to forget one of my favourite Imagination Craft's  products.....Sparkle and Twinkle.

Using the 8" square ivory base card, stamp the key escutcheon  stamp in each corner of the base card using a black ink pad.

Take the heart border stamp and stamp the hearts in the top, bottom, left and right-hand edges of the card, between the stamped corner images.

Take a square of white card six and three quarter inches square and spray with the blue and yellow shimmer spray inks and a quick spray of water.   When dry, trim this to six and a half inches square, keeping the left-over card  trimmings to be used later on this project.

Lay the rose stencil in the centre of this card and spread some Turquoise Sparkle and Twinkle over the design, using a metal spatula then remove the stencil and wash and dry it.   Leave the image to dry.

Lay the bubbles stencil onto the right-hand side of the card.

Mix some Cadence Taffy Hybrid Acrylic paint with a little of the blue shimmer spray.

Using a piece of sponge or a piece of cut 'n' dry foam, dab this through the bubbles on the design

Take small amounts of the turquoise Sparkle and Twinkle and rub this on the bubbles, which moves the medium to the edges of the bubbles (this is called the 'foiling technique')   I used my finger to do this  but for those who may be allergic to glitter, a piece of cut 'n' dry foam would work equally as well.       Lift off the stencil.

Using a black ink pad, stamp the sentiment to the left of the roses.

Stamp the groups of raindrops from the Modernista collection 5 times over the card front using a black ink pad.    Add some drops of water to each raindrop to re-awaken the ink, then blot with a piece of kitchen paper, leaving the raindrops a little lighter in colour.

Add some splashes of water to the background and blot with some kitchen paper.

Take a square of black linen effect  card  six and a half by six and a half inches and from this,  die-cut a six inch circle.   Keep the circle for a future project and use the left-over card as a frame.

Fix this on top of the coloured card.     Glue a yellow ribbon bow to the top of the aperture.

Using the left-over trimmings from the coloured card, punch out 12 small circles and glue three to each corner of the black card.

Matt and layer this onto the ivory base card.

'Fantasy Flower.'

Hello Friends, Followers and Visitors,

Hope this post finds you all well.   My card today was made for Sue & Harvey of Imagination Crafts, for their shows on the Create & Craft T.V. Channel earlier this year using their beautiful 'Modernista Collection,'   Mixed Media spray inks, Sparkle & Twinkle and Cadence coloured pearls.  apologies in advance for all the photos lol!.......well you all know me by now, I like to show all the different stages lol!

Take a six and a quarter inch square of white card.   Add some drops of the Fuchsia, Light green, Sunshine and Lemon yellow Mixed Media spray inks onto a  work top, ( I used my glass worktop),   Spray with a little water and lay the white card down on top of the inks.    Lift up and leave to dry, this can be dried using a heat gun but I prefer to leave it to dry naturally.

When dry, stamp the main flower image to the right-hand side, using a black ink pad.

From this image cut out the teardrop shapes from each petal.

Stamp the sentiment to the left-hand side, the block of small dots to the top and bottom, using a black ink pad.

Using the long border stamp from the Modernista Harmony stamp set,  cover up the left-hand dots and the fleur de lys  with masking tape.   Ink up the remaining dots with black ink.   Stamp two of these to the top left and bottom right corners, making a corner stamp,

Colour a small piece of white card with the Jade Sparkle & Twinkle, either by using a brayer or as I did, by spreading it onto the card, using a metal spatula.

When dry, glue this to the back of the main flower image, so the Sparkle & Twinkle shows through the teardrop shapes, then matt this card onto a slightly larger piece of black card and then onto the

                                                              7" square white base card.

Add some Cadence yellow pearl drops to 2 of the narrow petals.   Colour another piece of white card with the same coloured inks and when dry, stamp the flower image twice more and cut out.

Cut out the teardrop shapes once again and 3D onto the original stamped image.

Add more Cadence pearl drops, this time turquoise to the central petal and 2 at the base of the flower.   Add the lemon yellow pearls to the 2 narrow petals and the central lower petal.

Edge 3 petals with a white pen.   Using a black pen, add groups of 3 dots to the left-hand side and white dots to the right-hand side.   The photos below show the dimension of the design.

I do hope you like it,  quite a time consuming card to make but I was very pleased with the end result lol!  hope you think so too.   Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving such lovely comments, I really do appreciate each and every one and each visit made to my blog.   Catch you all again soon.

'A Peek into the Magical World of Fairies & Elves.'

Hello Everyone,

Well, it is time for me to share another of my creations with you.    Where do these weeks go to lol!   My card today is another one I made way back in 2007 and has a background  made using waxes and an encaustic iron, a couple of fairy stamps, a small flower and heart punch,  small piece of acetate, black ink pad and a little holographic glitter glue.   Hope you like it.

I used a ready made cream card with an oval aperture and I used it landscape style.   I began by adding some white, yellow and gold waxes to my upturned encaustic iron, I  then ran the iron across a piece of smooth, shiny encaustic white card.  I  repeated this until I was happy with the way it looked.   I thought it looked like a good background for fairies, as you probably already know, I adore anything  which features fairies and elves lol!

I stamped the fairy and elf onto a piece of white card using a black ink pad.   I then coloured them in with a black pen, fussy cut them out and glued them to the wax background.   I added a thin little piece of black card to their hands as a flower stem.   I punched out a small flower using a punch which was given free with a craft magazine many years ago (sorry cannot remember which magazine!) and added it to the top of the stem.

I then cut 5 thin flower stems and glued them to the left side of the oval aperture, punched 5 black flowers and glued them to the stems, adding a touch of glitter glue to the flower centres.

I then stamped the larger fairy (if I remember correctly, this was one of Michael Bossom's
encaustic art stamps, which I have had for many years), onto a piece of white card, using a black ink pad.   I once again coloured her in with a black pen.   Her wings were stamped onto a piece of acetate using a black Stazon pad, fussy cut out.  The wings from the original stamped fairy were cut off and replaced with the acetate wings and glued to her.

She was fixed to the outside of the oval aperture, using a little silicone glue,  as though she was sitting on the edge of the aperture peeking into this magical scene.

Stamp 'Fairy Wishes' to the top of the card and 'Just for you' to the bottom.   Punch 4 small black hearts and glue one in each corner of the base card.

The two open flowers in the centre top and bottom of the base card were made by cutting around the negative, after punching out the small black flowers.

Thank you for all your visits and lovely comments on my last blog post, I do love to read them and they are much appreciated.   Well that's all from me for the moment, take care of yourselves.
