'Raindrops and Roses.'

Hello Friends, Followers and Visitors,   hope all is well with you.   Thank you all for your comments  and visits, so very kind of you.    It's time again  to share  another of my creations with you.   This is made using the Rose Trio stencils, which were shown on Imagination Craft's shows today on the Create & Craft Channel at 9.45 am.   I have also used stamps from the Secret Garden collection and the Modernista collection, Cadence fabulous Hybrid Acrylic paints and Shimmer sprays., oh! and not to forget one of my favourite Imagination Craft's  products.....Sparkle and Twinkle.

Using the 8" square ivory base card, stamp the key escutcheon  stamp in each corner of the base card using a black ink pad.

Take the heart border stamp and stamp the hearts in the top, bottom, left and right-hand edges of the card, between the stamped corner images.

Take a square of white card six and three quarter inches square and spray with the blue and yellow shimmer spray inks and a quick spray of water.   When dry, trim this to six and a half inches square, keeping the left-over card  trimmings to be used later on this project.

Lay the rose stencil in the centre of this card and spread some Turquoise Sparkle and Twinkle over the design, using a metal spatula then remove the stencil and wash and dry it.   Leave the image to dry.

Lay the bubbles stencil onto the right-hand side of the card.

Mix some Cadence Taffy Hybrid Acrylic paint with a little of the blue shimmer spray.

Using a piece of sponge or a piece of cut 'n' dry foam, dab this through the bubbles on the design

Take small amounts of the turquoise Sparkle and Twinkle and rub this on the bubbles, which moves the medium to the edges of the bubbles (this is called the 'foiling technique')   I used my finger to do this  but for those who may be allergic to glitter, a piece of cut 'n' dry foam would work equally as well.       Lift off the stencil.

Using a black ink pad, stamp the sentiment to the left of the roses.

Stamp the groups of raindrops from the Modernista collection 5 times over the card front using a black ink pad.    Add some drops of water to each raindrop to re-awaken the ink, then blot with a piece of kitchen paper, leaving the raindrops a little lighter in colour.

Add some splashes of water to the background and blot with some kitchen paper.

Take a square of black linen effect  card  six and a half by six and a half inches and from this,  die-cut a six inch circle.   Keep the circle for a future project and use the left-over card as a frame.

Fix this on top of the coloured card.     Glue a yellow ribbon bow to the top of the aperture.

Using the left-over trimmings from the coloured card, punch out 12 small circles and glue three to each corner of the black card.

Matt and layer this onto the ivory base card.
