My Carnation Tag.
Hello there Friends, Followers and Visitors,
Hope you've had a good weekend, the weather has not been too good but hey ho! tomorrow is another day. I'm just so relieved not to have the same amazing temperatures they are having in some parts, not sure I could cope with those very high temperatures lol!
I thought it was time to share another tag made for the challenge Sue from Imagination Craft's gave me a few months ago. This has been made using Imagination Craft's beautiful 'carnation' panel stencil.
(1 ) Large tag shape cut from pink mirri card.
(2 ) A smaller tag cut from white card then painted with the 'Cafe Creme' Rusty Patina.
(3 ) When dry, painted with blue and pink MDF paints, which give a chalky look.
(4 ) When dry, some gilding glue added randomly on the front and gilding flakes added, then the
excess flakes brushed away and returned to the tub.
(5 ) The carnation panel stencil put on top of the now coloured tag and the blue lagoon Sparkle
Medium spread over the flower head only, using the metal spatula. Remove the stencil and
leave the image to dry.
(6 ) Repeat this four more times, leaving each image to dry, before doing the next. Matt this onto
the larger pink mirri card tag using Magi-bond glue.
(7 ) Die-cut a large oval from the pink and the smaller oval from white card. Using the metallic
pink pad, stamp the words 'with love' onto the white oval, then heat emboss with clear
(8 ) Glue the large pink oval to the tag front and the small white, stamped oval to the pink oval, this
time, using silicone glue to raise the sentiment up a little.
(9 ) Die-cut two vines and paint with the Baltic blue MDF paint, then add some gilding glue in the
odd place, then cover with some gilding flakes, brushing away the ecess flakes.
(10) Glue these just above and below the sentiment, hooking some of the flourishes over the oval
That's all from me tonight my Friends, have a good week and I will be back soon with another project.
Love and rainbows,
Hugs Jennifer xx.
