So sorry I haven't blogged for a while, not sure where the time has gone lol! Lots of gardening to catch up with as everything seems to have just suddenly sprouted! The potatoes are through, the onions and gooseberries have now formed. Hopefully we will have lots of plums this year, as the tree was full of blossom. We have had a couple of frosty mornings, so just hoping it hasn't affected the formation of the plums. Well, enough of the gardening lol, onto to tonight's card.
I know we are just coming into the beautiful summer weather ( well hopefully lol!!) so the last thing we are thinking about is Winter and Christmas!! Tonight I have chosen to share a Christmas card with you, there are quite a few crafters out there who make Christmas cards all year, so when Christmas arrives, their cards are all made! a very good idea lol! This card is made using Imagination Craft's beautiful ice skaters Art stamp and their 'snowflakes' embossable stencil.
Matt a square of blue paper onto a 7" x 7" white base card, leaving a border of the white card showing.
Take a smaller square of white card and colour with the faded jeans,Tumbled glass and Stormy sky distress inks, using a blending tool or similar.
Next, lay the stencil onto the coloured card and blend the Stormy sky ink through the snowflakes design on the stencil. Keeping the stencil in position, spread the Sparkle Gel through the stencil, on top of the blue inked snowflakes, using the metal spatula and leave image to dry. Remove the stencil
Fix a piece of one inch wide blue ribbon across this piece of card, just above the centre point, then matt this onto the blue matt.
Stamp the skater's image onto some white card, using a black Versafine ink pad and heat emboss with clear embossing powder. Colour this with the blue distress inks and trim to size.
Matt this onto a slightly larger piece of blue paper. Fix this to the base card on a slight angle. Add some touches of 'Just Pearls' pearl for the snow and add a dot in each corner of the image.
Stamp the greeting on a piece of white card, using the black ink pad and heat emboss with clear embossing powder. Colour this, then cut out an oval keeping the greeting in the centre. Sorry I can't remember the make of the greetings stamp, possibly free with a craft magazine.
Add dots of pearl around the inner edge of the oval. Matt this onto a slightly larger piece of blue paper, then fix to the bottom right of the main image, using sticky foam pads or silicone glue.
The card is now finished, hope you like it. Thanks for taking the time to stop and look at my blog, it is much appreciated. Take care of yourselves and enjoy your weekend. Catch you all again soon.
Love and rainbows,
Crafty Hugs Jennifer xx.
