'Paris in the Rain.'

 Good evening Lovelies,

Hope you all enjoyed seeing our Mandy on the Create & Craft T.V. Channel yesterday, when she launched the lovely new romantic 'Voila' Collection.     A fabulous collection, some great demonstrations and amazing samples by the design team.   The card I have to share with you this evening, was shown on the programme.    To make the background, I used the wonderful Sumi paper.

Take a square of the white Printable white Sumi Paper.   Take a plastic tray and line it with kitchen paper, then lay the sumi paper in the tray.   Spray the Fuschia and Light Purple Mixed Media Spray Inks over the paper.   When dry, add some Gold Shake and Gilt in the odd place.

When the sumi paper is dry, screw it up into a ball then unfold it, and flatten out a little.

Using a black ink pad, stamp the text in the top left and bottom right corners of the Sumi paper, using the stamp from the 'Walking in the rain' stamp set.    Stamp some raindrops in the top right corner using a black ink pad.   Add some white dots to the raindrops using a white pen.

Tear the sumi paper into two sections,  and lay the narrow piece to the left-hand side of a spare piece of ivory card approximately 7" square and the second larger piece to the right-hand side, leaving a gap of the ivory card showing,  then lay the Eiffel Tower design from the stencil in the gap.   Holding the stencil in place,  remove the sumi papers for the moment and secure the stencil with blue masking tape.

Using a metal spatula, spread the Gold Shine Sparkle & Twinkle over the Eiffel Tower.    Remove the tape and stencil and leave the image to dry.

Using the Cadence Decoupage Glue, glue the coloured sumi paper to the 7" ivory square card,  the smaller piece to the left and the larger piece to the right.   Matt this onto a slightly larger piece of black card and then onto the ivory base card.

Take some spare sumi paper and colour it with the Fuschia spray ink followed by a thin layer of  Cadence Twin Magic Blue Rose metallic paint. and when dry,  make 3 small roses from it, using a Sizzix rose die.

Glue these roses in a group of three to the tower, using silicone glue.

Stamp the couple in black ink onto some spare ivory card.   Cut them out, leaving a tiny border of the ivory showing.

Fix them in position to the right of the Eiffel Tower, using sticky foam pads.

Stamp the sentiment in black onto a small piece of ivory card.   Add some Cadence Rich Gold Finger Wax around all four edges.

Add a small amount of black ink around the edges of the sentiment and glue to the top of the card.

Well that's another card finished.   Please take care of yourselves until my next post.   Thank you all once again for your lovely comments and your visits....each one appreciated by me.   I'll be back soon with another card, made using the beautiful 'Voila' collection.

                                                                  Love and rainbows,

                                                                  Hugs   Jennifer xx.
