'Time to Dream.'

Hi there Lovelies,

Hope you are all managing to stay safe and well during this very difficult time in all our lives.   Today I would like to share with you, one of my sample cards, made using the Imagination Craft's new 'Voila' Collection,  some amazing rice papers and stencils plus, a gorgeous set of romantic stamps called 'Walking in the Rain.'   I just love these stamps.    This set can be used for Mixed Media Canvases etc., as well as for cardmaking, as I have done.   My first card uses the stamp of a very sweet  girl with her best friend....her little dog.   I do hope you like it.

Cut out the square of rice paper from the sheet that you have chosen and using the Cadence decoupage glue, fix this to a square of white card and leave to dry.   When dry, trim the edges if necessary.

Lay the sentiment from the stencil onto the grassy bankside on the left of the design, securing to your work surface with the blue masking tape.   Spread the white structure paste through the sentiment using a metal spatula.   Remove the stencil and leave the image to dry.

Fix this background to an 8" x8" ivory base card when the structure paste has dried.

Next stamp the girl, umbrella and her dog onto some spare white card, using a Versamark pad, then heat emboss with black embossing powder.   Repeat this three more times.    Cut out the images.   (I always stamp an extra image just in case of  mistakes) but three should be enough.

Colour her with the Cadence Mixed Media Spray Inks and the light yellow acrylic paint.   Colour her hair with a little of the light yellow acrylic paint mixed with a small amount of the dark brown spray ink.

Paint her dress with the light yellow paint, adding some orange spray ink.   Her skin with well watered down orange ink and lastly, her umbrella with the Cadence Dora Red metallic paint, which makes her umbrella look wet because  of the sheen effect the paint leaves.

3D the girl and her little dog, using silicone glue.  When the glue has set, glue her to the bottom right corner of the card, so she is sitting on the bankside.      That is this card finished,  the rice paper background makes this a very quick, but effective card to make,  which is a bonus if you happen to be short of time.

The photo below is taken at an angle to show the 3D  depth of the image.

Please do not forget to tune into the Create & Craft T.V. Channel to see the Imagination Craft's show, when Mandy will be launching this beautiful new 'Voila' Collection, on Tuesday 22nd. September 2020, at  12 noon and 12.45pm.   I do hope you can tune in.   That's all from me folks, take care of yourselves until next time and thank you all once again for taking the time to read and comment on my blog.   Have a good week.

                                                                    Love and rainbows,

                                                                     Hugs   Jennifer xx.

Do Imagination Crafts still have their online shop, or is it just trading through the crafting shopping channels, which I don't watch, Kate x
