'The Streets of Paris.'

Hi there Lovelies.

It's me once again, hope you are all well.   My goodness how the weather has changed!   It is dull, cloudy and there is a bitterly cold wind here.   Autumn has arrived I think lol!   I do think it is due to warm up a little soon though.   We still have one row of potatoes to dig up yet, hopefully before the frosts arrive!  Bear with me as there are lots of photos but you'll be pleased to here they outnumber the text lol!   I do think photos explain more than words  lol!!

My card today was made for the Imagination Craft's show on the Create & Craft T.V. Channel on the 22nd. September 2020 and is made with products from their beautiful 'Voila' collection.   I have used one of the rice papers,  text from one of the A4 stencils,  a stamp from the 'Walking in the Rain' stamp set from the collection,  plus some black Gesso and some red metallic paint and a Sizzix rose die.   I love this rice paper, you can almost feel the atmosphere of the lamp lit streets of Paris.

Matt a square of black card onto an 8" square ivory base card, leaving a border of the ivory card showing.

Take a slightly smaller square of white card and using some decoupage glue, glue the section of the rice paper with the street lamp and restaurant onto it, making sure the rice paper is crinkle free.

Next lay the word 'Je'taime' from the A4 stencil, on the top right of the background rice paper, securing with the stencil spray or the low tack blue tape.   Using a stencil brush, stipple the black Gesso through the stencil.

Remove the tape and stencil and repeat in the bottom left corner but this time using the word 'Paris.'   Remove the stencil once again and wash off any Gesso left on it.

   

Add some watered down Cadence rich gold finger wax around the street light and surrounding area.

 

Matt this onto the black matt on the ivory base card.

Using some black card, stamp the couple and their dog onto it, using a gold embossing pad and heat emboss with gold embossing powder.

Trim around the image leaving a tiny border of the black card showing.

 Fix the couple and their dog to the bottom of the base card, using sticky foam pads.

Colour a small piece of white card with the Dora Red metallic paint and when dry, die-cut five roses, using the Sizzix rose die.

Roll up the die-cuts using a quilling tool or your fingers and secure with glue to stop it unrolling.   Glue these to the window boxes on the restaurant and the card is finished.
