Hi there Lovelies,
How are you all, well I hope and enjoying your weekend. Thank you for your visits and lovely comments on my last blog, always appreciated as I'm sure you know lol. Today I would like to share another card which was made for the Imagination Craft's show on the Create & Craft T.V. Channel last week. This was made using rice papers from the Vol. 4 USB, which was launched by Mandy Jane last week. These designs are really beautiful, such gorgeous colours. I really enjoyed working with them. Now to the card.....
Coloir a 7" x 7" piece of white card with the Cadence light blue, light green and the light purple Colout Mist Blending Inks. Dry brush a little white Gesso over the top, to knock back the colours slightly.
When this is dry, lay the 'diamond' stencil design, from the 'Wind in Your Hair' collection by Imagination Crafts, onto the top right and then again onto the left-hand side of the painted card, then stipple the Cadence Dora Pearl metallic paint through the design, using a stencil brush. Remove the stencil and leave to dry.
Take a slightly larger square of white card and paint all four edges with the Iris Hybrid Acrylic paint, (no need to paint all of the card as most will not be seen! Waste not want not lol).
Matt and layer the diamond background card onto the Iris painted card using double sided sticky tape, I like to add some Imagination Mixed Media Glue as well, as this gives me a little wriggle time lol. Next, matt this onto an 8" x 8" ivory base card.
Take the sheet of rice paper and roughly cut out the elegant lady and the flowers, then glue them to some spare white card, using the Cadence decoupage glue
When dry, cut out, trimming away any excess white card. Fix her to the left of the diamond background, using silicone glue. Fix the flowers to the right of her shoulder, again using silicone glue.
From the second sheet of the same design of rice paper, cut out the lily only and glue to a piece of white card using the decoupage glue. When dry, cut out, trimming away the excess white card. Fix this on top of the first cut out lily image, again using silicone glue.
Add three pearl drops to the top, bottom and right-hand edges of the painted background and leave to dry.
Below are a couple of photos taken at an angle to show the dimension.
Well that's all from me for the moment. Hope you enjoy your visit to my blog and I will be back again quite soon. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Take and stay safe.
Love and rainbows,
Hugs Jennifer xx.
