'Friends Always' Card.

 Hello Lovelies,

Hoping you all enjoyed your weekend.   We had a quiet but a good one.    Did some tidying up in the garden and spent some time in my happy place, my craft room, making some Christmas cards.

Today I have another card to share with you which I made using a free A4 stamp set which was given free with the Creative Stamper craft magazine issue 109 - called 'Versa Tiles Patchwork Set -26 pieces.   I think this is a great set of stamps as they can be used in many different ways.   Hope you like it.

Make a  five and three quarter inch square   base card from some white card stock.   Using the shell square stamp from the A4 set and the rusty brown Stazon ink pad, stamp the square 4 times onto some white paper.

Using the leaf/flower square stamp and the cactus green Stazon pad,  stamp this onto some white paper 4 times.

Cut out all 8 squares.   Colour the middle section  of the white base card with the  Amethyst Promarker alcohol pen.

Glue the squares around the front,  outside edges of the base card, leaving the coloured section uncovered.

Stamp the 'Friends Always' tag  (which was also free with a craft magazine and has been in my craft stash for quite some time)   onto some white card, using the cactus green ink pad and cut it out.

Colour the large flower in each of the green stamped squares with the amethyst alcohol pen and glue the tag to the centre amethyst square.   Add some gold liquid jewellery to the centre of each amethyst flower.

Stamp more squares of the same design as the squares on the card front,  using the rusty brown and cactus green ink pads, from these, colour 4 small green and 4 large rusty brown  flowers with the orange and green brush pens, then cut them out.

Glue these around the centre of the base card and add some liquid gold jewellery to the centres of the flowers.

Below is another photo taken at an angle.

Thank you all for your lovely comments and visits to my last blog post, they mean a lot and are very much appreciated.   I will be back again quite soon with another card, so see you all then.   In the meantime, take good care of yourselves and enjoy the week ahead.

'Purple Zinnia.'

 Hello Lovelies,

Hope this post finds you all safe and well.   Thank you once again for all your lovely comments and visits to my blog,  I really appreciate each and every one.

I have another card made using one of my favourite Stampendous stamps, the ' Zinnia' cling stamp, on   my previous card, made using this stamp, I coloured the  Zinnia green and as this flower  also comes in purple, I decided to use that colour this time.     Hope you like it.

Make a five and a quarter inch square base card from white card stock.   Matt and layer a smaller square of patterned background paper from Chloe's bumper pack, onto the base card.

Colour around all four edges of another piece of white card,  cut smaller than the background paper, using  the Spectrum Noir alcohol pen no. LV2.  ( No need to colour the whole of this card, as only the outer edges will be seen ).

Cut a slightly smaller square of white card and colour with the distress inks -Tumbled glass, Milled lavender, Weathered wood and Dusty concord and a blending tool.   Light colours in the centre and darker colours towards the outer edges.   Matt and layer this onto the lavender edged card,

Matt and layer this coloured square onto the patterned paper on the base card.

Using a black Finesse alcohol proof dye pad by Spectrum Noir,  stamp the 'Zinnia' flower 4 times onto some spare white card,   Colour the flowers  with the Promarker alcohol pens - Amethyst, Powder blue, Orchid, Cool aqua and Tulip yellow.   Cut them out, then 3D them using silicone glue, making one beautiful bloom.

When this is dry, glue the flower to the centre of the coloured card.

Die-cut 2 corners from spare white card, using the Creative Expressions die set and a die-cutting machine.
Glue one in the top left corner and the other in the bottom right corner.

Glue 2 lavender gemstones to the top right of the  inked card and 2 to the bottom left.   The card is now finished.   Below are a few close up photos.

Well that's all from me for now, I do hope you've enjoyed your visit to my blog.   Have a good week ahead and stay safe and well.   I will be back quite soon with another card, so catch you all then.

                                                                     Love and rainbows,

                                                                     Hugs   Jennifer xx.

'Cherry Blossom' Thank You card.

 Good afternoon Lovelies,

Hoping you are all managing to cope in this heatwave we are having at the moment.   I have to say it is lovely to see the sunshine but it is a tad too hot for me.   I'm more of a Spring/Autumn person but hey, mustn't grumble lol !   The lack of rain affects so many people, in all sorts of ways,  I do hope we get some soon.

Thank you for your visits and lovely comments on my last blog, as usual, much appreciated.   Just a short post from me today - not many photos.   To be honest, I had the card almost made when I remembered I hadn't taken any step by step photos -  what am I like lol !!  - don't answer that lol.     My card was made using a 10 piece stamp set & coordinating outline die set, given free with a craft magazine (sorry cannot remember which mag but the set is  called Cherry Blossom, )   a Crafter's Workshop 'Circles' stencil. Distress inks and Promarker Alcohol Pens.

Make a base card five and three quarter inches square from some white card.   On a spare piece of white card, lay the three and three quarter inch diameter circle on the card and secure with masking tape, covering any other smaller circles with masking tape, to stop the ink going anywhere other than the large circle.   Blend the Tumbled Glass Distress ink in the centre of the circle and the Weathered Wood around the edges of the circle.   Blend the colours together, using a blending tool.      Remove the stencil and tape.

Cut out the circle and glue to the centre of the white base card.

On some spare white card, stamp the blossom branch, 12 buds and the words 'Thank you, in black ink.  Trim around the sentiment and add a little black ink to the edges,  then glue it to the centre of the blue circle..

Colour the branch and the flower buds with Promarker Alcohol Pens and cut them out, using the coordinating dies from the free set.

Glue 8 buds to the left edge of the circle and the branch to the right of the circle.   Glue the other 4 buds in each corner of the base card.

Using a black pen and ruler, draw two lines between each of the corner buds.   Using the stencil, draw a smaller circle just beneath each corner bud.

Finally,  draw another circle, (smaller than the large blue circle) around the words  'Thank you.'

That's all for now folks, have a relaxing Sunday and I will be back again quite soon.   Thanks again for visiting my blog.   Take care and stay safe.

                                                                Love and rainbows,

                                                                Hugs Jennifer xx.

'Zinnia.'

Hi there Lovelies, it's me back again.   Hope you are all well, if not, here is a huge hug from me and I hope you feel better soon.    Thank you for your visits,  and comments on my last blog.....all very much appreciated.

Today I have a card made using some beautiful background papers by Chloe's and the spray stamp, which were both given free with a craft magazine (sorry can't remember which mag)  but was fairly recent I think.   The 'Zinnia' stamp is by Stampendous, which I have had in my craft stash for some years now - just love this stamp lol.     The scroll corner dies are by Creative Expressions but not sure if they are still available, as I've had them for some time too.   I have used Tim Holtz Distress inks to colour the Zinnia flower.   I understand from my flower gardening book, Zinnia's come in a variety of colours - red, purple, yellow, white and quote - ' the attractive green one called Envy.'   So I have coloured mine green lol .

I have to say, it is fun to go back to my older stamps and dies in my collection, I keep finding stamps and dies which I had forgotten about and just have to use them again.   O.K.  I think I have chatted enough time to talk cards  lol !

Make a five and three quarter inch square card from a sheet of white linen effect card.   Cut out various shapes from three different but co-ordinating patterned papers from Chloe's Bumper pack of papers.   Glue them onto slightly larger pieces of black card.

Die-cut two corners using the Creative Expressions corner dies and glue one to the top right and one to the bottom left of the largest rectangle, and glue this panel to the left side of the white base card.   Next glue the next, slightly smaller panel in position as below.

Glue the third smaller rectangle in position as below.   Cut two smaller pieces of white card and stamp the small flower spray onto each one, using a black ink pad.   Matt these onto some black card, just slightly larger than the white stamped card.   Glue them in position too.

Stamp the Zinnia flower onto some spare white card, using a black ink pad.   Colour the flower with the Shabby Shutters and and Wild Honey Distress Inks, adding some ink from the pads onto a glass worktop and adding some water, then painting the flower.   Cut out the flower and glue on top of the panels on the base card.

Stamp the 'Get Well' sentiment onto a small piece of white card using black ink and matt it onto a slightly larger piece of black card and glue to the top left of the base card and the card is finished.   Below are a few more close up photos.

That's all from me for the moment, hope you have  enjoyed your visit to my blog, thank you for stopping by.   Enjoy the rest of the week, stay safe and well.

                                                                      Love and rainbows,

                                                                      Hugs   Jennifer xx.

'Friends Always.'

Good evening Lovelies,

I'm back again with another card to share with you.   Hope all is well and you have had a good weekend.   Here we are again at the beginning of another week, they sure do come around quick lol !

This card is an easy, quick card to make.    I have used a 7" black square  card  as my base card, another of my favourite Stampendous stamps, which I have had in my craft stash for some years now.   It is a cling stamp and is called 'single butterfly'  which is a little odd, as I see it as a lovely flower lol !   the petals I have to admit, do look like butterfly wings, and it makes  a beautiful delicate flower.   I have also used a Sizzix Thinlit die set - diamonds corner die,  Tim Holtz Distress inks.   The 'Friends Always'  stamp was given free with a craft magazine some time ago and the leaf stem stamp was also given free with a craft magazine and is called' Spring Foliage'  and is by Chloe's Creative Cards, a more recent magazine (sorry cannot remember which mag,)     O,K. time to get started on this evening's card.

Cut a piece of white card to a six and a quarter inch square.   Using the Sizzix diamond corner die, die-cut the diamonds from the top right and bottom left corners of the white card.

Add some dots of the Cadence liquid gold jewellery in between the rows of diamonds and leave to set.

When set, glue this piece of card to the black base card.

Using a black ink pad stamp out two leaf stems and the 'Friends Always' oval and cut them out.

Glue the oval to the centre of the base card and a leaf stem to the top left and the bottom right of the oval.

Using some spare white card, stamp the flower twice using a black ink pad.   Colour the flowers with the Fired Brick and Mustard Seed Distress inks.   Put some ink from the pads onto a glass worktop or similar, add a little water and paint the flowers with that, which gives a more blended look.

When dry, add some Cadence liquid gold jewellery to the centre of each flower, as above.   Glue one flower to the top left and the other to the bottom right corners, adding a little silicone glue under each petal to give the card some dimension.   Well that's this card finished, I do hope you like it.   Below is  another photo of the finished card, which shows the dimension.

Thank you so much for taking the time to check out my blog, I appreciate your visits and comments.   Have a good week and I will be back again quite soon.  Take care of yourselves and stay safe and well.

                                                                Love and rainbows,

                                                                Hugs   Jennifer xx.
