A Little Japanese Thank You.

Hi there Followers, Friends and Visitors,

I thought I would share a card with you all which I have made for a friend's Macmillan Nurses charity coffee morning in September.   Jane has not yet seen the cards I have made, I will be posting them to her in the next few weeks, in time for her coffee morning in September.   The stamps I have used for this card were all free with various craft magazines.   Hope you like what I have done with them.   I have used distress inks,  gold embossing powder and Imagination Craft's Starlight paints.

Cut a square of black card and matt onto a 6" x 6" white scalloped card.   Cut another piece of white card slightly smaller than the black.   Colour this piece of card with the Tumbled glass, Picked raspberry, Mowed lawn and Dried marigold Distress inks, adding some Broken china to the outside edges.

Stamp the flower corner in the top left, using a black ink pad.   Stamp the Geisha girl on the right, again using a black ink pad.   Colour the flowers with the picked raspberry and broken china distress inks by rubbing the ink pad onto a stamping block or similar and adding a small amount of water.   Colour the leaves with the mowed lawn.

Add small dots of the Rich gold Starlight paint on the small circles.   Colour the branches with a black pen.

Colour the Geisha Girl's kimono with picked raspberry and watered down rich gold Starlight paints.   Colour her parasol with distress inks, adding some rich gold Starlight paint in odd places.

Add some broken lines, using a fine liner black pen below her kimono, to 'ground' her.

Die-cut a small oval between the Geisha girl and the flowers.   Stamp 'Thank you' on the black card (so the words will show through the die-cut oval aperture ) using a Versamark pad  and heat emboss with gold embossing powder.

Fix the card with the aperture onto the black card, using sticky foam pads, with the sentiment showing through the oval die-cut aperture.

Glue a gold cord bow to the bottom of the oval aperture.   Well, that's another card finished.   Thank you all so much for visiting my blog.   I do hope you have enjoyed your visit and I hope I may have inspired you to givw this great hobby a go,  I have to say, beware as it is a  very addictive hobby but also a very enjoyable hobby.    That's all for now my friends, I'll catch you all again very soon, so please do pop back.

                                                                    Love and rainbows,

                                                                      Hugs   Jennifer xx.
