Frilly Flower, Sunburst Tag.

Good evening Lovelies,

Hope everyone is safe and snug during this snowy, icy cold spell,  we did our food shopping earlier this week just in case we get snowed in again but we are ok here, just a covering of snow, thank goodness!    Gosh! just can't believe the low temperatures in  parts of the U.S.A !!!!

Well onto tonight's project....a tag I made for a charity event for a friend a couple of years ago.   I did make a very similar tag some time ago and that is on my blog, using a different flower stamp and a  different colour but I think I prefer this particular flower design by Stampendous.

Make a large tag shape from white card.   (or use a tag die.)   Cut an rectangle of black card to fit the large tag, leaving a narrow border around three sides and a larger border at the top.

Lay the Imagination Craft's 'sunburst' stencil onto the black card and spread the silver Sparkle Medium over the design, using a metal spatula.   Remove the stencil and leave the image to dry.

Stamp the 'frilly flower' onto some white card, using a Versamark pad, then heat emboss with black embossing powder.

Colour the flower with the canary yellow and pink sorbet Starlight paints,  add some glue to the centre of the flower and cover with the crushed black glass glitter.

Glue the black and silver sunburst rectangle to the large white tag.   Add three small black gems to the top left.

Glue the flower to the sunburst and add some silicone glue under each petal.

Stamp 'Happy Birthday' onto a small piece of white card, using a black inkpad.   Trim to size and glue to the tag, just below the flowers.

Colour some cream satin ribbon with the two Starlight paints, then thread through the hole in the top of the tag.

Make a stand from white card and glue to the back of the tag so it can be stood up, if required.

That's all from me for the moment.    Thank you all for your lovely comments and visits to my last blog post, much appreciated, I do love to hear what you think, good or bad lol!   hopefully more good than bad haha!   Stay safe, warm and take care when going out for those hazardous icy patches on pavements and roads.   Hopefully Spring is just around the corner.

                                                                Love and rainbows,

                                                                 Hugs    Jennifer xx.

  4. Stunning tag design Jennifer, the background design really makes the flower pop. I can't believe the Polar vortex either, now sure how people deal with living the such cold temperatures.
