Art Deco Sally.

Good afternoon Followers, Friends and Visitors,

Hope this post finds you all well and you are back into the routines of life lol!   I do enjoy all the festivities but I have to say....'it is nice to get back into routine lol'   Today we have quite a nice day, with a little sunshine but it is very cold!  mustn't grumble it could be a great deal worse lol!   like last year when the 'beast from the east' visited us and snowed us in for a couple of weeks!  Ah well back to the here and now lol!

I have had a good play with my older 'cute' stamps, so I think it is time to get back to my other favourite subject...Art Deco.    For this card I have used Imagination Craft's beautiful 'Art Deco Sally' stencil.   I just love her, she is so elegant.   I have also used the 'Scalloped Shell' ' Art Deco Lady' and 'Daisy Flourish' stencils, along with the fabulous Sparkle Mediums.   These can be purchased from  http://crafterscompanion.co.uk/brands/imagination-crafts.html

Open up your 7" x 7" white base card and lay the scalloped shell stencil onto what will be the inside of the card.   Spread the Seedless Preserves and Mowed Lawn distress inks through the design, using a blending tool or cut 'n' dry foam but not going right up to the edges of the stencil but blending the colours out, leaving some white card showing.

Next, lay the Sally stencil onto it, centralising Sally and cover the stencil with the Hunter Green Sparkle Medium, using a metal spatula.   Remove the stencil and leave the image to dry.

In the meantime, lay the Sally stencil onto some spare white card and spread the Lavender Sparkle Medium over her hat, feathers, gloves, shoe and the sash around her hips.   Remove stencil and leave this to dry.

Cut these parts out and glue in position on the original image of Sally, using Magi-bond glue (a good strong glue).

This is the inside of the card finished, now for the front of the card.

Open up the card again so the back and front of the card faces you.   Lay the Daisy Flourish border stencil onto the front of the card and blend the two distress inks through the design.

Using the other Art Deco Lady stencil, lay the corner design from this stencil onto each corner of the base card and spread the lavender Sparkle Medium through the corner design.   Leave these to dry.

Hand-cut an aperture to a shape which pleases you and also shows most of Sally through it.

Edge the aperture with green Sparkle Medium and leave to dry..

Add some distress inks to the outer edge of the base card and a little around the edge of the aperture.

Lastly, glue a green organza/gold satin ribbon bow to the bottom left of the aperture.

The card is now finished.   This does take quite a bit of time to make but I do hope you think it is worth it.   That's all from me for the moment.   Catch you all again very soon.

                                                             Love and Rainbows,

                                                              Hugs   Jennifer xx.
