'A Bird of Beauty.'

Hello Lovelies,
Hope everyone is well.   Here we are again, another weekend nearly here lol!  which is good but these weeks are flying by a little too fast for my liking  lol!    I see our local shops already have some Christmas items on sale, gosh it will be here before we know it.
Tonight I have a card to share with you all, which was made for the Sue Baker Presents shows on the Create & Craft T.V. Channel  recently, using the 'Birds and Blossoms Collection.'   Thank you for your visits and comments on my last blog post, much appreciated.

Cut a six and a quarter inch square from dark wine red card and die-cut a four and a quarter inch. diameter circle from the centre.

From some white card, cut a slightly larger frame using the circle dies and glue this to the edge of the aperture.   Put this to one side for the moment.

Take some white card and colour it using the Abandoned coral, Spiced marmalade and Fossilized amber Distress Oxides and the Fired brick Distress Ink.

Stamp the bird  onto it using a black inkpad.

Stamp the flower stem onto it,  placing it so the bird is sitting on it.   As these are quite large dies, I used my stamping platform but you can obtain some large acrylic blocks now, which would also do the job lol.

Next stamp the hanging heart onto the top right corner.

Now to the colouring of the design.   Using a paintbrush and some water, add some water to the flowers and the bird, and using a piece of tissue or kitchen roll dab the flowers and bird with it, which lifts the paint from the images.

Mix some light blue and yellow Mixed Media Spray Inks in order to make the leaf green colour for the leaves.   Paint the flowers with the Abandoned coral Distress Oxide and Fired brick  Distress ink.

Add a touch of watered down Gold finger wax to each petal and  highlights and dots to each flower petal using a white pen.

Paint the head of the bird with the Fired brick D.I.   Mix together some Cadence  Green blue metallic paint and some Light green spray ink, then paint the bird with it.

Colour a small piece of white card with the Cadence Rose gold metallic paint and when dry, stamp the heart only onto it using a black inkpad.   Cut this out and 3D this onto the original image using silicone glue.    Colour a small piece of white card with the Green blue paint and stamp the bow only.   Cut out and glue to the original image.

Glue the wine coloured card with the aperture onto the coloured image, so the image shows nicely through the aperture and then matt onto the 7" x 7" white base card.

Stamp two more of each flower using black ink onto white card.  Colour as previously, then cut out and 3D onto the original images, one extra to the top right and another in the bottom right of the circle, using silicone glue.

Using the Woodware corner punch and a square of white card, punch each corner.   Keep this for another project and use the left-over waste and glue one in each corner of the wine coloured card.

Punch out 12 tiny circles from white card and glue between the four corners.

That's this card finished, hope you like it.   I must say I have really enjoyed using this Birds & Blossoms Collection, such beautiful images.   Thanks again for taking the time to stop by and read  my blog, I know just  how precious time is lol.    That' s all from me, hope you have enjoyed your visit.   I will be back again very soon.   Look after yourselves.

                                                                Love and rainbows,

                                                                Hugs   Jennifer xx.
