What are you all doing today? having a good time I hope, wherever or whatever you are doing. We're having a quiet day, time to recharge our batteries. Thank you for your comments and visits on my last blog post, much appreciated.
I have a card to share with you today, which I made for the Sue Baker Presents shows on the Create & Craft T.V. Channel recently. I have made this using the gorgeous Birds & Blossoms Collection, such beautiful designs. I did enjoy using this collection, along with the fabulous Cadence metallic paints, a great combination lol!
Take a piece of white card approximately six and a quarter inches square. Draw a heart shape in the centre and cut out, leaving a heart aperture. (Or you could use a heart die, I cut my own as I do not have a large heart die.)
Stamp the flower around the heart aperture using a brown inkpad.
Colour a piece of white card with the Cadence green-blue metallic paint then, stamp the flower again 14 times onto this piece of card, I stamped a few extra flowers just in case some weren't as good as they should have been lol!
Cut out the flowers and glue each one to the stamped flowers around the heart aperture using silicone glue.
Take another square of white card and paint it with the pink MDF paint and when dry, add some crackle medium with a paint brush and, whilst still wet, paint over with the green-blue metallic paint
Dry this with a heat gun, it will 'bubble up' which gives, I think, a quite good effect. Glue this to the centre of the 7" x 7" white base card.
Go back to the card with the heart aperture and stamp 'Smile' in the bottom left and the sentiment in the bottom right corners, using a brown ink pad. Colour the edges of this card with the Brushed cordury Distress ink.
Matt the aperture card onto the white base card using sticky foam pads so the coloured card shows through the aperture.
Stamp the two love birds on the branch onto white card, using a black ink pad and paint with the yellow, light blue and light purple Mixed Media Spray inks. Paint the branch with watered down the Inca gold finger wax and the top stripe on the heads of both the birds. Cut out.
Glue this in position, inside the heart using silicone glue.
Here are a couple of photos taken at an angle so the dimension can be seen. Hope you like it.
That's all from me for the moment although I will be back quite soon with a 'sneaky peek' at one of my samples, made for the Sue Baker Presents shows on the Create & Craft T.V. Channel, this coming Tuesday, on which she launches the fabulous new 'Dark Angel' Collection, so see you all again soon.
Love and rainbows,
Hugs Jennifer xx.
