'Beauty Is In The Eye Of The Beholder.'

Good evening Lovelies,

Hope you all had a good weekend.   It is time again for me to share another of my cards, made for the Imagination Craft's show on the  Create & Craft T.V. channel, earlier this month.   This was made using the 'Vintage Beauty' collection.   I used one of the stencils from the collection and some Cadence paints and Colour Mist Inks.

Cut a seven and three quarter inch square from white card and paint all four edges of it with the Cadence Emerald metallic paint, (no need to paint all the card, as most will not be seen.)    Matt and layer this onto an 8" square ivory base card.

Cut a slightly smaller square of white card and using the light fuchsia and the light green Colour Mist Inks, colour this piece of card, using the central piece of foam from the pot or a piece of sponge as I did.

When this is dry, lay your chosen parts of the stencils onto it and dab the light fuchsia mist ink through the designs, using the  piece of foam from the centre of the Colour Mist pot or as I did - a small piece of sponge.

Remove the stencil.   When this is dry, lay the head of the lady onto the coloured card, slightly to the right - hand edge.   Mask off her turban with the fruit on it, using the blue masking tape.

Mix the emerald and pearl Dora metallic paints together to get a lighter shade of emerald and using the stencil brush, stipple the paint over her hair, face and neck.   Remove the stencil.   Lay the turban image from the stencil in position on top of her head and secure with the blue masking tape.   Stipple the emerald and pearl mixed paint over the turban image, then remove the stencil .

Next lay the word 'beauty' from the stencil down the left hand edge of the coloured card and stipple the emerald metallic paint only, through the design.   Remove the stencil and leave the image to dry.

Matt and layer this onto the  painted, emerald edged card.   Glue silver domes, one in the top right and bottom left corners.   Glue a large oval gemstone to the centre of the turban.

Die-cut three small quilled flowers, cut from some white card painted with the emerald and pearl paints.   Roll them up, using a quilling tool and glue to stop them unrolling.   Then  glue the three flowers to the turban.

The card is now finished.   Hope you like it.   Please pop back soon.   I will be sharing another of my sample cards, which I have been working on recently and are now in the post, ready for the next Imagination Craft's show coming up very soon.   Until then be safe, be kind and be happy.   Catch you all again soon.

                                                                 Love and rainbows,

                                                                 Hugs   Jennifer xx.
