'Oh! So Cute.'

Hi there Lovelies,

Hope all is well with you,  we  have had a beautiful sunny day today, we even managed to get some tidying up done in the garden  lol!     The last few mornings there seems to have been a touch of Spring in the air.....let's hope so, we could all do with an early Spring.

I have another card to share with you which I made  for the Imagination Craft's 'Into The Wild' show on the Create & Craft T.V. Channel earlier this month.    I used one of  the rice paper designs from the collection along with Cadence Decoupage Glue,  Acrylic Paints  and  Textile Crackle  Paste-steps 1 and  2.

Take a piece of white card measuring 7" x 7" and using the first sheet of rice paper, cut out the part of the design  with the tree, text, pot and the Quokka,  ( pronounced Kwaa-ka)  a rather cute looking creature,  I'm told from Australia.   Keeping the top, bottom and left-hand edges straight, shape the right-hand edge.

Before fixing the rice paper to the square of white card, pencil in lightly, the shape of the right-hand edge of the rice paper.   To  the right of the pencil line, paint stripes of colour across the area,  using Cadence Hybrid Acrylic Paints - Clover Green, Warm Orange, Blood Red & Cactus Flower and dry.

Next, using a spatula, spread the Cadence Textile Crackle Step One Paste over all the colours and dry, this will dry clear.

When this is dry, spread the Step Two Black paste over the top and dry once again and the cracks will appear and the beautiful bright colours will show through the cracks.

Using the Cadence Decoupage Glue, fix the rice paper over the piece of white card, bending the extra rice paper to the back of the card and glue.

When this is dry, matt this onto a slightly larger square of bright yellow card and then onto a slightly larger piece of red card.   Matt this onto an 8" square ivory base card.

From the second sheet of rice paper, roughly cut out the Quokka and the pot and fix to some spare white card using decoupage glue.   When dry, cut these images out, trimming away any excess white card.

Glue these to the original images on the base card, using silicone glue and the card is now finished.

The photo below was taken at an angle to show the dimension.   I just love this Quokka, he's so cute.  I have to admit I have never heard of these cute creatures.   Thank you so much for your visits and comments on my last blog post, I really do appreciate each and every one.   Take good care of yourselves and stay safe.   I will be back again quite soon with another card.

                                                                Love and Rainbows,

                                                                 Hugs   Jennifer xx.
