Hello Everyone,
The weekend is upon us once again, these weeks are positively flying by lol! Hope you have all had a good week and are having a good weekend so far. Whatever you have planned, enjoy it.
Thank you for all your visits and comments on my last blog post, I appreciate each and everyone. Today I would like to share a card I made recently, when just having a little play with Cadence Colour Mists Blending Inks, such pretty colours, Dora Metallic Gold Paint and the very pretty butterfly dies from Imagination Craft's 'Wind In Your Hair' Collection and flower dies from my craft stash.
Using a white 7" square base card, matt and layer a slightly smaller square of black card onto it, then matt and layer a slightly smaller white square onto the black matt. Next Die-cut a black hexagon and fix to the centre of the white matt.
Die-cut 2 solid butterflies from black card, using the Imagination butterfly die set. Using some spare white card, colour it with the Cadence Colour Mists Blending Inks - Light Fuchsia, Light green, Light purple & Light blue. When this is dry, dry brush a small amount of the Dora white/gold metallic paint over the blended inks. From this, die-cut 4 large and 3 small flowers and 2 open lacy butterflies Glue the 2 lacy butterflies onto the 2 solid black butterflies.
Glue one of the butterflies in the top right corner and the other in the bottom left corner. Glue 6 of the flowers to the front of the card.
Lay the oval shape from the 'Vintage Beauty' collection stencil, onto a piece of black card and spread some white structure paste through the design, using a metal spatula. Remove the stencil and leave the image to dry.
When dry, lay the stencil back in position and using a stencil brush, stipple some white/gold metallic paint over the top of the paste. Cut around the outside of the oval shape and cut away the centre of the oval. Glue this to the centre of the hexagon and glue the third small flower to the centre of the oval.
Punch out 12 tiny circles from black card and glue around the base card and add a crystal gemstone to the centre of each of the flowers and the card is finished. The photos below are taken at an angle to show the sheen of the metallic paint and the dimension of the card.
A beautiful card Jennifer and love the colours you've use for the flowers. Enjoy the rest of your weekend and hope you have a good week too. Love and hugs xx
