'Crystal Ball Gazing.'

 Hi there Lovelies,

Hope all is well with you and you are safe and well.    Thank you once again for your visits and lovely comments on my last blog post.

Tonight I have another card to share with you which was made for Imagination Craft's T.V. show on the Create & Craft Channel on the 19th. July.   This was made using Imagination's fabulous new collection  'Warrior Women,'    I do hope you like it.   I thoroughly enjoyed making this card, it was an excuse to use some of bright colours lol!   These metallic paints really sparkle when the light catches them.

Begin by cutting a 7" square of white card.   Cut out the section from the rice paper with the crystal ball on it, cutting it slightly larger than the 7" square white card.      Fix the rice paper to the white card using the decoupage glue,   bending  the extra rice paper to the back of the card and securing with the glue.

Cut a seven and a half inch square from white card and paint all the four outer edges (no need to paint the whole card, as only the edges will be seen).   Use all four of the Cadence Metallic Paints - Red 215.  Turquoise 214,  Gold 200 & Dark Blue 222.    Add the gold to all four corners, then the red, dark blue and the turquoise,  continue until all edges are painted.    I guess you spotted the deliberate mistake lol!   yes I missed adding the red paint to the bottom edge of the card below.   The pigment in these paints are quite  strong, so I decided to try and cover some of the dark blue paint with a little of the red......and it worked lol!   panic over!    on with the rest of the card...phew!

Matt this onto an 8" white base card.

Lay the moon and stars from the stencil onto the rice paper background card and spread  some Dora Perla Gold relief paste over them, using a metal spatula, adding them to the crystal ball image.   Add a group of stars from the stencil to the top left of the background in the same way.   Remove the stencil and wash it and leave the images to dry.

Roughly cut out three butterflies and the open book from the second sheet of the same design rice paper and glue to some spare white card using decoupage glue.

When dry, cut them out and shape the wings and book pages with your fingers, then fix them to the original images on the background rice paper, adding some silicone glue under the wings and the book pages.

Add some watered down rich gold Dora Metallic paint to the edges of the book pages.

The card is now finished.   Thanks for visiting my blog and if you have left me a comment - thank you, all comments are appreciated.   Stay safe and well and I will be back again with another card, made using this fabulous 'Warrior Women' collection.

                                                                   Love and rainbows,

                                                               Crafty Hugs   Jennifer xx.
