'Ageless Beauty.'

Hi there everyone,

at last the sun is shinning !  Hope you are enjoying your Bank Holiday weekend, despite the coronavirus restrictions.

I'm back with another card to share with you that has been made using the new collection named 'Mixed Media Textures' by Imagination Crafts due to be launched by the lovely Mandy tomorrow at 12noon until 1.30pm.    (That is Tuesday 26th. May 2020.)   I do hope you will join Mandy on the Create & Craft T.V. Channel, she will as usual,  have some great demonstrations to share with you.  For my card today I have used rice paper and the butterfly stamp from the collection, some Sparkle and Twinkle and Cadence Premium acrylic paints and decoupage glue.   This card as you will see, is very different from my last card from this collection.    This is a very quick card to make.
 ,

Cut a piece of white card six and a half inches square.   Paint all four edges with the aubergine acrylic paint (no need to paint the whole card, as the centre will be covered with the rice paper design - waste not want not lol!).   Matt this onto an  8" x 8" ivory base card.

Cut out the part of the rice paper you want to use and matt this onto  a  slightly smaller piece of white  card using decoupage glue.   This is such a pretty paper and my favourite colours to boot lol!

Lay the numerals, key, script etc., from the stencil onto the left-hand side of the card.    Using a metal spatula, spread the light green Sparkle & Twinkle over the design.

Remove the stencil and leave the image to dry.   Unfortunately the beautiful Sparkle and Twinkle doesn't  sparkle and twinkle on my photo lol!  sorry.  I did really try to capture this on my photos.

When dry, matt this card onto  the base card.   Add small amounts of the aubergine, yellow, light orange and the light sage ( I chose to use this green as it matches the Sparkle & Twinkle perfectly), onto a glass worktop or similar and  add some water then lay a piece of white card directly on top of the paints and press down gently with your hand, then lift off.   Take off any excess water with a piece of kitchen roll and leave to dry or dry with a heat gun if you are impatient like me lol!

When dry, stamp the large butterfly from the collection,  onto the card using a black ink pad.   Cut out the butterfly and glue to the top right of the base card, adding some silicone glue under each wing to lift them up a little.

Voila! the card is now finished, as I said earlier a quick easy card to make.

Thanks again for your lovely comments on my last blog post, much appreciated as always.   Stay safe and well.   See you all again quite soon.   Please don't forget to tune in to the Create & Craft T.V. Channel tomorrow at 12noon - 1.30pm.

                                                               Love and rainbows,

                                                                Hugs   Jennifer xx.
